Seven more 17U unsigned players you may not know

<p>The race to secure a collegiate volleyball scholarship is one that’s been entered b y many 17U players, but will be finished by far fewer.</p> <p>While athletes such as [player_tooltip player_id="89341" first="Livvy" last="Setla"] and [player_tooltip player_id="89335" first="Kiyah" last="Franklin"] of Legacy Volleyball Center (VBC) 17-2 ADIDAS in Rochester may have entered into agreements with the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) and Youngstown State University, respectively, to continue their educations, others are still trying to make a similar move. Even though that’s not something any individual is entitled to, it is a goal many are hoping to reach.</p> <p>Here in Michigan on the club volleyball scene when it comes to the 17U players still looking to lock down a ride to the next level of competition, that includes…</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>CALLIE SMITH</p> <p>Standing in at just over six-feet, this part of the class of 2021 at Pewamo Westphalia currently plays for Attack VBC 17U National-Black in Okemos. On the court Smith has an Approach Jump of nine-foot-six, a Vertical Touch of nine-foot-three and a Block Jump of nine-foot-one. The fact she also has a Standing Reach of almost seven-foot-four, a 68-inch Wingspan and a 23.5-inch Vertical doesn’t hurt, either.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>ELIZABEITH CORTRIGHT</p> <p>The fact she plays OH and Defensive Specialist is just a small part of what Cortright does for Dynamite VBC 17-Select in South Lyon, where she wears jersey number three. Off the court she’s a member of the class of 2022 at South Lyon HS.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>CLAIRE NOWICKI</p> <p>Presently adorned with jersey number four by Legacy VBC 17-1 ADIDAS, Nowicki is a five-foot-11 Outside Hitter (OH). She’s a member of the class of 2021 at Claarkston HS, as well.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>AUDREY BUNNELL</p> <p>This portion of the class of 2021 at Bath HS stands in at just under five-foot-10 and plays for Attack VBC 17U National-Black. Among her skills are an Approach Jump of 107 inches, a Block Jump of 103 inches and a 15.5-inch Vertical. Add to that a Standing Reach of almost 88 inches, a Wingspan of just under 70 inches and a Vertical Touch of eight-foot-seven and Bunnell’s hopes of playing at the next level appear to be headed in the right direction.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>LARYSSA IMBUZIERO</p> <p>With the ability to play Middle Blocker (MB) and OH, Imbuziero wears jersey number nine with Legacy VBC 17-2 ADIDAS. At five-foot-nine she’s slated to graduate from Northville HS in 2021.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>SYDNEY LIS</p> <p>Not only is Lis a member of the class of 2021 at South Lyon East HS, but she also wears jersey number 21 for Dynamite VBC 17-Select. Among the positions she plays are MB, OH and Opposite.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>MYA TARRANCE</p> <p>A DS/Libero by trade, at five-foot-eight Tarrance is set to graduate from Westland John Glenn HS in 2021.
