Summer Showcase Class Of 2022 High Risers And New Names

Flashback: To early August when a couple hundred prospects made their way to Milwaukee for the Prep Dig Summer Showcase. Progress has been made with continued training and players finding a way to polish their craft. For the Class of 2022, here are some players who have made their way onto our radar up or made a great case for a rise in the rankings at the Summer Showcase. She is a dynamic setter with a high volleyball IQ. Rochon is a fun player to watch since she doesn’t hesitate on defense. [player_tooltip player_id="81312" first="Abby" last="Savatske"] – 6’1 – Setter/Right Side Hitter – Madison La Follette As the level of competition has continued to rise, so has the game of Savatski. This was my first time seeing her play live and I can see how she will establish herself as a really physical middle blocker who can make a difference at the net. Savatski takes a seriously wicked swing out of the middle. She has great hands and is a huge lefty swing and is just not a player who comes out of the game. Ammeraal is sure to rise as one of the top prospects in the state.   [player_tooltip player_id="81255" first="Adriana" last="Studer"] – 5’8 – Libero – Lake Country Lutheran Studer is an absolute lightning spark on the court. Just when you think the play is dead, she brings it back to life. She just knows how to win with her ability to get a hand on everything and displays amazing coverage of her hitters. Studer has over 500 career digs in her first two seasons as a defensive specialist, but she is such a gritty defender and rock solid passer, she will find a lot of success at the collegiate level. She gets up so high and has a really fast armswing that it’s only a matter of time before a lot of programs take notice. She is a 5’11 uncommitted athlete who can play all six rotations, is particularly dynamic, and has a lot of power. She has great footwork, a quick release, nice hands, and great location of her sets. She has the ability to clean up the court and keep her squad in the match. Along with her high passing efficiency, she has great defensive instincts. [player_tooltip player_id="81281" first="Lauren" last="Hazelett"] – 5’6 – Libero - Edgewood Hazelett made her way onto my radar when she received recognition at AAU nationals a couple years ago. From there we’ve seen her grow into a gritty defender and great communicator. Hazelett can read the hitters and is a really athletic, physical player. She will be a big piece of Edgewood’s ability to operate in system. Germantown will definitely have plenty of attacking options this upcoming season with a number of extremely talented returners. [player_tooltip player_id="57260" first="Mary" last="Satori"] – 5’11 – Outside Hitter – Manitowoc Lincoln Satori’s stock has just exploded in the past year. She is a six-rotation standout where she can pass and smoothly transition to an explosive attack with the ability to smoke the ball from anywhere on the court. With almost 300 career kills for Lincoln, Satori has continued to impress at the Prep Dig Tournaments and Showcase with her fast swing and huge block. With her fast swing, Lequia is a high impact 6-rotation pin. She also plays with a certain level of maturity and competitive spirit. Reese Yocum – 5’9 – Outside Hitter - DeForest Yocum will be looking to step in as DeForest graduates a number of attackers. She has a fast armswing and is a smart all-around player who can contribute in every rotation. Yocum will surely make an immediate impact for the Norskies. [player_tooltip player_id="81310" first="Sienna" last="Roling"] – 6’0 – Outside Hitter – Sun Prairie Roling is a high academic student athlete with a high contact point. She also has solid ball control and a great range of attacking tools. Roling is a quick competitor with a heavy shoulder to put some heat on the ball. She takes a heavy lefty swing and can definitely quarterback a team with her ability to be vocal with her passers and hitters. Lewellin has the work ethic and drive to be an immediate impact player for a college program.
