Three Madison Southern Juniors to Watch

<p>Multiple juniors will be among the key contributors for Madison Southern during the 2020 high school volleyball season. </p> <p>The Eagles claimed the 2019 44th District Championship. Madison Southern shut out rival Madison Central 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-17) in the 2019 44th District title match. </p> <p>After capturing the 44th District Championship, Madison Southern reached the 2019 11th Region Volleyball Tournament Semifinals. Henry Clay pulled away to defeat Henry Clay in the 2019 11th Region Volleyball Tournament Semifinals, winning 3-0 (25-9, 25-19, 25-15).</p> <p>Here are three Madison Southern juniors to watch.</p> <p><strong>Kyla Atkins:</strong> A setter/outside hitter, Atkins was among the leaders for Madison Southern throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season. Versatile, Atkins delivered from multiple positions for the Eagles. In Madison Southern's 33 matches, Atkins recorded a team-high 529 assists along with 204 digs, 77 service aces, 75 kills and 23 blocks. Atkins is a vocal leader and excellent passer who identifies blockers efficiently. </p> <p><strong>Chayse McCreath:</strong> An outside hitter, McCreath showed potential at her position for Madison Southern during the 2019 high school volleyball season. McCreath appeared in 12 matches for Madison Southern during the 2019 season, registering 26 kills and 13 digs. Poised to take on a larger role during her junior season, McCreath boasts a quality skill set. A stout hitter from the left side, McCreath possesses strong jumping abilities. </p> <p><strong>Ally Skidmore:</strong> Another outside hitter, Skidmore contributed for Madison Southern in 2019 as well. Skidmore appeared in 11 matches for the Eagles in 2019, logging 30 digs. Also set to take on a larger role during her junior campaign, Skidmore contributes consistently from both the back row and the front row. Showing the signs of being a go-to hitter more in the future, Skidmore adjusts well to sets coming from various parts of the court. </p>
