<p>This weekend the 10 finalists for the 2020 MIVCA Miss Volleyball Award were announced and it’s a collection of the best of the best.</p>
<p>Here’s the 10 players that will contend for the prestigious honor this fall.</p>
<p><strong>Charli Atiemo, MH Farmington Hills Mercy: </strong>A constantly developing talent, Atiemo raised her game a great deal in 2019, earning First Team All-State honors while helping Mercy to a D1 state championship. Atiemo has the footwork and explosiveness to be difficult for anyone to stop. She is committed to Northern Illinois.</p>
<p><strong>Callie Bauer, OH/S Hudson: </strong>A Western Kentucky commit, Bauer has been a highly-productive player for four years at Hudson. Bauer has over 2,000 kills, 1,300 digs, 850 assists and 300 aces in her prep career. She has been First Team All-State the past two season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="14163" first="Julia" last="Bishop"], S Farmington Hills Mercy: </strong>The Michigan State commit led the Marlins to a D1 state championship in 2019 and a semifinal appearance in both 2017 and 2018 as well. She has been First Team All-State as a junior and sophomore and runs the Marlin offense with ease. An athletic setter, Bishop makes a number of plays that her peers just can’t.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50288" first="Mikayla" last="Haut"], OH SMCC: </strong>Haut is the only player in the state of Michigan to be First Team All-State as a freshman, sophomore and junior. Last fall, Haut led the Kestrels to the Division 3 state championship and helped them reach the semifinals in 2018. Haut does it all and has been the go-to player for SMCC for years and never batted an eye.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="14185" first="Aubrey" last="O’Gorman"], MH Lakewood: </strong>O’Gorman has performed at a high level on a big state for years. The Michigan State commit has helped the Vikings reach Battle Creek in 2017, 2018 and 2019. A 6’3” middle, O’Gorman has the athleticism of an outside hitter. She was First Team All-State as a sophomore and a junior.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50295" first="Abby" last="Olin"], MH Coopersville: </strong>Olin is another Michigan State commit and was First Team All-State in 2019 for one of the top teams in Division 2. Olin was as productive as any middle in the state last season as she set a school record with 519 kills in 2019. The 6’3” middle also owns Coopersville’s career record for blocks with 357.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="14188" first="Sydney" last="Palazzolo"], OH Utica Eisenhower: </strong>A High Point commit, Palozzolo has over 1,100 kills and 1,000 digs in her career with Eisenhower. She was Second Team All-State in 2019. The 6’2” outside is consistent with her play in the front and back row and has Eisenhower hoping for a big 2020 season.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="14192" first="Jenna" last="Reitsma"], OH Lowell: </strong>Reitsma really exploded in 2019, helping Lowell reach the D1 state finals match while racking up 873 kills. The Marquette commit was Second Team All-State as a sophomore and First Team All-State as a junior. An explosive player, Reitsma can finish from anywhere on the floor.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50300" first="Anna" last="Smith"], OH Mendon: </strong>Smith has been dominant in Division 4, leading Mendon to back-to-back state championships while earning First Team All-State honors both years. The College of Charleston commit had over 700 kills, 300 digs, 100 aces and 70 blocks as a junior. She plays with a lot of competitive fire and has a game that hasn’t been matched in D4.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="14203" first="Addie" last="VanderWeide"], OH Grand Rapids Christian: </strong>The steady offensive force for the Eagles, VanderWeide has been part of back-to-back D2 state championships. A First Team All-State selection in 2018 and 2019, VanderWeide amassed over 1,500 kills leading into 2020. She’s got a great mix of speed and power with her swings, and has a standout defensive game to boot.</p>
