<p>Continuing to win, Holy Cross (Covington) shut out visiting Bishop Brossart 3-0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-13) in an early-season high school volleyball match on Thursday, Sept. 17.</p>
<p>Familiar foes, Holy Cross (Covington) and Bishop Brossart compete in neighboring regions. </p>
<p>Remaining undefeated, Holy Cross (Covington), a 9th Region title contender from the 35th District, moved to 9-0 with the win. The Indians have notched additional wins over Walton-Verona, Newport Central Catholic, Beechwood, Dixie Heights, Campbell County, Heritage Academy and Villa Madonna. The 2019 35th District runner-up, Holy Cross (Covington) claimed back-to-back victories over Newport Central Catholic earlier in the month.</p>
<p>Former 10th Region title contender Bishop Brossart, which suffered its third straight loss, dropped to 2-4. Bishop Brossart notched back-to-back wins over 10th Region rivals Nicholas County and Calvary Christian earlier in the month.</p>

<p>The top performers for Bishop Brossart were Marie Kiefer (10 kills, 1 block, 1 assist, 6 digs), Raele Ruschman (2 kills, 15 assists, 1 dig, 1 service ace), Kate Neltner (7 kills, 1 dig), [player_tooltip player_id="107426" first="Madelyn" last="Kremer"] (10 digs, 1 assist, 1 service ace) and Madison Graziani (2 kills, 1 block, 3 digs, 3 service aces). </p>
<p>Holy Cross (Covington) and Bishop Brossart aren’t scheduled to meet again in the 2020 high school volleyball season. </p>
