Five Players that Made Marks on the Second Day of JVA Worlds

Swart places overpassed balls away from opponents. She is not afraid to improvise when the team is out of system. She used her off (left) hand for a soft tip near the 10-foot line on one play. Swart uses her momentum to drift to the side of blocks and create hitting lanes. Frey is steady back there with her first touches. She can even take swings from the back row. Her energy on the court is commendable. Frey makes timely hits off blocks and has good topspin on her serves. Frey said she's glad to be back from her injury and is working on making her way back to the level she'd been at before the injury. Hochevar takes strong rips on the go routes. Hochevar can take things off her hits to go over and around blockers. Hochevar puts down overpassed balls with authority. Hochevar will benefit from being coachable. Faulkner uses her quick feet to go from middle back to middle up depending on the opposing hitter. Faulkner showed she can handle tough crosses and is able to set up hitters when needed. Bankston does a good job disrupting plays at the net and encouraging teammates. Bankston tries to rip the seams a good bit. Bankston lands numerous four to four shots throughout the day.
