Week Two Spotlights and Notes: Part 1

<p>After two weeks of volleyball, who is shining in the show me state?</p> <p><em><strong>Hitting Percentage</strong></em></p> <p><strong>Ella Vogel - 6’1" MB/OH - Central (Cape Girardeau) - 2022</strong></p> <p>Vogel is off to a hot start for Central in their 4-2-2 start. She is among the state’s leaders early in hitting percentage at .368. She has earned 102 kills and averaging 5.7 a set. </p> <p><strong>Bailey Chamberlain - 6’0" MB/OH - Dexter - 2021</strong></p> <p>A .458 hitting percentage is where Chamberlain sits after the first couple of weeks of the season. The senior has shown to be a force early in her final fall campaign. She has 75 kills to pace her percentage and the Bearcats 8-3 start.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="41775" first="Maddie" last="DeMent"] - 5’10" MH - Aracadia Valley - 2021</strong></p> <p>DeMent has a storied high school career having already eclipsed the 1000 kill mark before her senior year. She has started her final season as accustomed, amongst the state leaders in a category. In Class 2, she is hitting at a .421 clip after a couple of weeks. She also has 111 kills. </p> <p><strong>Lexi Miller - 6’0" MH - Galena - 2021</strong></p> <p>Another senior off to a strong final season is Miller. She is off to a positive start with a .433 hitting percentage. She has 66 kills and 41 total blocks. Galena has started the year 4-3-1. </p> <p><em><strong>Digs</strong></em></p> <p><strong>Emma Datema - OH - Billings - 2022</strong></p> <p>Datema is all over the court early in the year. She is averaging just under 7 digs a set to lead Billings. In 26 sets she has 173 digs, inclduing 37 in a 4 set lost to Clever on 9/15. </p> <p><strong>Emmalea Cook - 5’7" L - Forsyth - 2022</strong></p> <p>The 5’7" libero is averaging over 7 digs a set to pace the Forsyth back row early in the season. Cook has 121 digs in 17 sets played this fall. She has shown the ability to cover a lot of space for the Panthers defense. </p> <p><strong>Mekenzie Yount - 5’4" L/DS - Dexter - 2021</strong></p> <p>Yount is averaging 7.4 digs per set early in her final season for Dexter. She has 177 digs with only 22 errors. She has been an important factor in the good start for Dexter. </p> <p><strong>Jocee Pettyjohn - 5’4" L/DS - Lebanon - 2022</strong></p> <p>The junior is off to an amazing start to her second season in the varsity program for Lebanon. She has a 165 digs for about 5 per set. </p> <p><em><strong>Notes:</strong></em></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="41797" first="Mallory" last="Polk"] of Leserville earned her 1000th career kill 1000 on September 11th.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="101690" first="Arley" last="Anderson"] of Park Hill South has eclipsed the 2000 assist mark in her career.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
