High School Player of the Week – Nyah Anderson – 2021 Outside

<p>Over the next few months I will be rolling out some articles on those volleyball players who are terrorizing their opponents this volleyball season.  I will still be doing our regular highlight articles on multiple athletes for exposure, however I wanted to do some special articles on a few special athletes that we are getting to know quite well with Prep Dig TX.  This week we will give special recognition to Miss [player_tooltip player_id="99539" first="Nyah" last="Anderson"] from Reagan High School, as she is our High School Player of the Week. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99539" first="Nyah" last="Anderson"] [2021] 6-0 Outside (HS: Reagan/Club: SA Magic/Verbal: Miami)</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="99539" first="Nyah" last="Anderson"] is listed as the 54^thtop prospect in the great state of Texas according to our 2021 class rankings.  We wrote an article earlier in the summer and here is a little from it, “<em>Miss Anderson has earned 6A TGCA All State honors and was the 27-6A District Offensive Player of the Year last season.  Nyah turns heads everywhere Reagan plays.  Her size and balanced movement is not only evident in the front row but in the back row as well.  They have relied on her talent for the past couple of years and her senior season should be no different.  They will look to her for her leadership and experience in this tough district.  Nyah is committed to Miami and will provide the Hurricanes the same time of explosiveness that she has been bringing to her Magic volleyball club and the Rattler program.  When she cocks her arm back, the other team better put up at least a decent block because if not, I feel sorry for the defender.  They pretty much have no chance as she unleashes some awesome power on the ball.   This young lady is super explosive and she wows the crowd every time she takes the court.”</em>  Nothing has changed except for more experience.  She is still super explosive and puts on a show in every match she plays in. This young lady plays so hard while she is on the court.  She will wow everyone who follows Miami volleyball next year in college.  For now, we get to enjoy her for one more season.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Nyah was on a tear this past week as she helped her Reagan volleyball squad earn victories over Harlan, Churchill and Warren.  Over those three victories, she was super explosive and had 50 kills.  Her defense was also superb as she recorded 53 digs and also an impressive 10 total blocks.  That kind of production over a long period of time of three matches is extremely impressive.  But, if you follow volleyball in the San Antonio area, it is just another day in the life of Miss Anderson as she has been lighting it up over her entire career. We can’t wait to see what else she does for the rest of the season. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We will be publishing more articles weekly to give recognition to those athletes who are playing great in their matches.  Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.  If you have anyone that you think deserves to be recognized as a player of the week, feel free to send me a message with their information.
