Vs.

Nixa High School 32-3

Boy, this one will be good! Defending Class 3 and Class 4 state champions meet up in this year’s semifinals. They’ve each beaten each other this year. Borgia with a 25-19, 25-17 pool play win in the Ozark tourney where Borgia had 27 kills to Nixa’s 16. Lily Brown had 6, [player_tooltip player_id="41802" first="Ella" last="Brinkman"]n 8, Lynsey Batson 5, and Caroline Glastetter with 6. Nixa only had three players with kills, and that was [player_tooltip player_id="102546" first="Jaycee" last="Fixsen"] with 5, Allie Billmyer with 3, and [player_tooltip player_id="41762" first="Taylor" last="Golmen"] with 8. Then, in the Ozark tournament championship, Nixa decided to play ball and took a 2-1 22-25, 25-16, 25-15 win. This time around, it was Nixa’s defense and serve receive that won the game. Plus, [player_tooltip player_id="102546" first="Jaycee" last="Fixsen"] got help from some usual teammates, Allie Billmyer had nine kills, and Norah Clark had 6. Borgia’s [player_tooltip player_id="41802" first="Ella" last="Brinkman"]n had 13, and Lily Brown finished with 11 to be the only ones in double-digit kills in the loss. I think this is where Borgia’s run comes to an end. Both teams are hot, but I think Nixa's defense and passing are just better.

Here is another match-up that is sure to be a slugfest. You have Liberty North’s [player_tooltip player_id="41825" first="Isabel" last="Zimmerman"] and Carlie Cisneros on the pins for the Eagles battling it out with St. Dominic’s pin hitters Breanna Schreimann and Audrey Weber. You have a better blocker on the right side with [player_tooltip player_id="41825" first="Isabel" last="Zimmerman"] going up against St. Dominic’s outside hitters. Liberty North has a better middle blocker tandem in Rachel Spainhour and Caitlyn Burns. Comes down to Liberty North's right-side blockers shutting down St. Dominic's outsides.
