We’ve moved on to the class of 2022, where there are plenty of options available for both large and small schools at the next level. All positions are represented and, surprisingly, we have a handful that have already committed to play somewhere in the fall of ’22. Listed below are their featured teams and their commitments or what position and impact they might have if uncommitted.

17 Purple

The 17-1 team at Circle City has a ton of kids that are all over our rankings list. [player_tooltip player_id="85814" first="Ella" last="Peter"] (Central Michigan) might be the highest profile kid here, and looks to be an explosive middle in Lori Janssen’s offense. We also like lefty hammer Cilicia Aleong (IUPUI), who will take pressure off of the remainder of the attackers with her shot making ability. [player_tooltip player_id="85820" first="Courtney" last="Jones"] (Lipscomb) is a high-flying six-rotation outside that can bang from anywhere. [player_tooltip player_id="85818" first="Tori" last="Woods"] (Texas Women’s) is also an adept pin attacker. What remains, though, is just as prolific. The Cadences, [player_tooltip player_id="85825" first="Cadence" last="Notter"] and [player_tooltip player_id="85827" first="Cadence" last="Gilley"], are the root of all ball control for this program. Both are more than capable of wearing the special jersey at the next level, and can play any of the back row positions with ease. [player_tooltip player_id="85807" first="Sky" last="Moffitt"] is an exceptional M2, and can take up space on the block and can terminate with the best of them. [player_tooltip player_id="123003" first="Mackenzie" last="Martin"] will look to take one of the left pins and can also double as a three rotation DS in a pinch. The quarterback of this offense, [player_tooltip player_id="85809" first="Grace" last="Reynolds"], has soft hands and locates the ball better than most in this graduating class in Indiana. She’ll run a 5-1 with this squad.

17 Black

Led by setter [player_tooltip player_id="85832" first="Reagan" last="Kane"], the 17-2 roster can play at the open level locally while will most likely try to earn a USA bid at MEQ’s. Defensive specialists [player_tooltip player_id="85867" first="Peiper" last="Hesson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="85848" first="Madelyn" last="Hawkins"] are interchangeable as the libero. Both are high-level passers and defenders. Between [player_tooltip player_id="85823" first="Sarah" last="Bennett"] and [player_tooltip player_id="85845" first="Audrey" last="Naberhaus"], the middle position is in good hands. Sarah should be the M1, as her speed, attack height and strength can have her cover from pin to pin. Audrey is a lengthy M2 with consistency being her calling card. [player_tooltip player_id="85843" first="Reece" last="Whitehead"] and [player_tooltip player_id="85833" first="Isabel" last="Metzger"] are rangy pin attackers who can both play as six rotation attackers. [player_tooltip player_id="85839" first="Corrina" last="Porch-Maxey"] is probably the best raw athlete of the bunch, as she is the highest jumper. [player_tooltip player_id="85865" first="Amber" last="Cruser"] is an exceptional six-rotation lefty that will play right side and can stay in through the back row to pass and defend.

17 White

It’s hard for me to think of this roster as a "three" (maybe 2A?). Many club throughout Indiana would love to have this much talent at this level, as most clubs in Indiana barely have a viable 2s program. [player_tooltip player_id="85850" first="Julia" last="Fernandes"] looks to be the 5-1 setter for this squad. Her ball location and quick feet get her to most balls some other setters in Indiana just can’t get to. Pin attackers Mason Bomba, [player_tooltip player_id="85872" first="Eliza" last="Ford"] and [player_tooltip player_id="85857" first="Lauren" last="Watson"] bring an array of skills to the team. Mason is, far and away, the heaviest hitter on this roster. Eliza brings size and length and could probably play either pin. Lauren is a six-rotation pin player that can also play left or right. In the middle, we have [player_tooltip player_id="85863" first="Emma" last="Morris"] and [player_tooltip player_id="123004" first="Kaitie" last="Lavy"]. Emma looks to be more of the M1 with her size and footwork, while Kaitie is exceptional off of two feet and uses her long arms to her advantage. Let’s not forget how these kids get the ball, however. Defensive specialists [player_tooltip player_id="85830" first="Emma" last="O’Connor"] and [player_tooltip player_id="85880" first="Bella" last="Dart"] can both play libero for this team and can be found at any of the three defensive spots at any time.

17/18 Purple

Although I feel the color designation is irrelevant, it’s important to note that this hybrid-aged team will split time playing some open and some club level tournaments throughout this spring. [player_tooltip player_id="85883" first="Taraya" last="Thomas"] is one of the higher leapers on this roster, and will anchor the middle. Springy [player_tooltip player_id="85878" first="Jenna" last="Armstrong"] will be seeing the majority of her time as a left side, but can double as a DS if needed. Defensive specialists [player_tooltip player_id="85870" first="Valerie" last="Trent"] and [player_tooltip player_id="85877" first="Ashlyn" last="Swan"] may split time as a libero this spring. Valerie has seen a ton of time in the right back position, but can play all three. Ashlyn has exceptional consistency in serve receive and can defend at a high level.
