Full disclosure: we make mistakes. Prep Dig Indiana is not, and never will be, perfect. It is nearly impossible for me to see all volleyball players. We are not the last word on recruiting, either, as this is a subjective list. That being said, we’d like to give a little love to those unranked players that made the fourteen member First Team All-State or fourteen member Second Team All-State lists. Listed below are their names, heights, primary positions, high schools, clubs and postseason honors.

[player_tooltip player_id="118193" first="Gracie" last="Lowry"], 5-10, OH, Bloomfield, Tier Ten, 1st Team 1A

From the smallest school on this list, Bloomfield does well in the southern half of the state in 1A, and is a perennial twenty-win program. Averaging nearly four kills per set while hitting well over .300, Gracie hits a heavy ball and can also swing from the middle, if needed.

[player_tooltip player_id="118189" first="Payton" last="Rolfsen"], 5-11, S, Leo, Empowered, 2nd Team 3A

Payton is a fast, high-hands setter who is quick and accurate with her ball handling. She jump sets every ball she can, and likes to play a faster tempo, but will adjust to the players she’s setting. She can also adjust to the style of offense her coach wants; she ran a 6-2 for her Lions and will be a 5-1 setter in club. A fast, athletic, chameleon of a setter that makes very few errors? Yes please.

[player_tooltip player_id="118192" first="Sophie" last="Kleiman"], 5-11, MB, Evansville Mater Dei, Metro, 2nd Team 2A

A big-armed, broad-shouldered middle that can play multiple positions and excels in front of the setter is what you get from Miss Kleiman. In an offense that prides itself on balance, Sophie was one of four that averaged two kills per set or better, but what sets her apart is her defense. She blocks everything and slows everything else down.

[player_tooltip player_id="118191" first="Carlie" last="Sealscott"], 5-6, DS/OH, South Adams, Summit, 2nd Team 2A

I’m listing two positions here because of her versatility. In high school, she led the Starfires in kills and was second in digs while carrying the lion’s share of the serve receive. In club, she’s a full-go, no-quit libero, and that is probably where her talents place her at the next level.
