Continue ReadingWe would love to officially welcome the 2024 class to the Prep Dig State Rankings. We are going to restart this series that we began this past spring with the freshman class of 2024. We have covered some in the Central Texas area already but are back again because they have a ton of really talented players on our State Rankings. We are extremely excited to cover this class now that they have had their high school season complete. We have been very active in communicating with College Recruiting Directors all over the state so that we can bring the best to the eyes of the college coaches we have in our database that read our articles. So without further ado, here are a few more of the standouts from the 2024 class from the Central Texas Area:
Kamrynn Clay Kamrynn Clay 5'8" | S Clemens | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-7 Setter (HS: Clemens/Club: United VBA/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Kamrynn as we currently have her ranked as the 30th best prospect overall in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays high school volleyball at Samuel Clemens and club for a brand new club named United VBA directed by former Texas State volleyball coach Tracy McWilliams-Smith. She is a gifted setter who has already made her mark on the varsity level by accumulating 306 assists, 23 kills, and 125 digs to go along with 9 aces. She is very athletic and is capable to running a fast offense already at a young age. She pushes the pins well and goes side to side during rallies to keep the defense off-balance. During club United often uses her as an attacker as she is skilled in a variety of ways. She has a very high ceiling in the sport and she will learn a lot from her club director as she has tons of coaching experience. I hope Kam soaks up all of that knowledge from Tracy. Please help us welcome Miss Clay to the State Rankings as we are excited to cover her this club season and for the future.
Reese Emerick Reese Emerick 5'9" | DS/L Westlake | 2024 State #33 Nation TX [2024] 5-8 Libero (HS: Austin Westlake/Club: Austin Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Reese as we currently have her ranked as the 37th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. Reese is a gifted player from the Austin area. She plays for Westlake on their varsity squad and also for the great Austin Juniors volleyball club. Westlake has a great libero in the making in this young lady so they can continue their dominance in their district that they have had for a while now. She already had 195 digs for them and 15 aces in her freshman season. She made the 26-6A newcomer of the year this past season. Miss Emerick is a stud in the libero position and plays with so muchpassion. She will be moving up the rankings for sure in our next update as we saw her show out on Varsity. Her defensive range is superb and once you match that with her tenacity to sprawl out while in pursuit of the ball, you have a recipe for an outstanding libero. She is one of the best in the 2024 class for sure and we will be watching her career unfold very closely. College coaches should be looking at this young lady right this second as her touch on the ball is second to none. We are excited to have her in the Prep Dig Family and are excited to watch her progress on the court. Please welcome her to the Prep Dig family and congratulate her on being ranked with the top players in the great state of Texas.
Preslie Yates Preslie Yates 6'0" | MB Berkley | 2024 State CA [2024] 6-1 Middle (HS: SA Reagan/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Preslie as we currently have her ranked as the 39th best prospect overall in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. Pres is one of the best middles in the San Antonio area in her class. She plays for the famed Alamo club program and high school for Reagan. She was able to make her mark on varsity in her freshman season and contributed 33 kills and 23 blocks on their impressive run through the 2020 season, which saw them go deep into the UIL State Playoffs. With Miss Yates on their roster for the next three years, they will likely not go anywhere. She has tons of way power that she uses to score kill after kill on both cut and cut back zones out of the middle. Alamo uses her well and she is able to showcase her offense and defense extremely well on their national team. She is the real deal and will have an impact for any team she plays for. She is a division one prospect for sure and will only get better with age and experience. We are excited to cover her for the future and can’t wait to see her progress. Please welcome her to the Prep Dig family and congratulate her on being ranked amongst the best in the state.
