2022 Newest Additions to the State Rankings List Vol 5

<p>We began our rankings in March with only the top 60 players in the state ranked on our list.  We now have the top 133 players in the state ranked in the 2022 grad class.  We are extremely excited to welcome these ladies to such a prestigious group.  We have written about most of these athletes before, however we are going to now re-introduce them but now with their much deserved overall State Ranking attached to their name.  We are also added 32 brand new amazing volleyball players that deserved to be recognized for their efforts on the court through their high school and club tournament play.  They have proven themselves on the court and we are proud to share them with you.  Congratulate them on social media or in person the next time you see them.  Welcome to the list ladies…</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="140421" first="Caelyn" last="Gunn"] [2022] 5-11 Outside (HS: Lake Dallas/Club: Excel/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Please welcome Caelyn to the 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings. We have her listed as the 92^ndbest prospect in the state.  Miss Gunn plays at Lake Dallas High School and also club for Excel out of the North Texas Region.  She is a solid outside who has been super stellar for all three years that she has been on varsity.  In those three years on varsity she has amassed 950 kills on a .162 hitting percentage, 55 blocks, 895 digs, and added 77 aces. Double-digit kills each match are nothing new to Miss Gunn as she routinely unloads the clip at her opponents. She owns a variety of weapons in her arsenal and is able to score with each of her shots.  <br /> Don’t sleep on this kid because she is a true six rotation outside with her legit defensive abilities and super solid serve receive skills.  Her ball control across the board is something that cannot be ignored by college coaches.  We are excited to have her in our rankings and we will be watching her career closely. Please congratulate Miss Gunn on her achievement of being one of the top players in the state of Texas.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="139547" first="Chelsea" last="George"] (2022) 5-8 Libero (HS: Melissa/Club: Madfrog/Verbal: Memphis)</strong></p> <p>Please welcome Chelsea to the 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings. She is currently listed as the 94^thbest overall prospect and the 7^thbest libero in the state in this update. She plays at Melissa High School and also club for the amazing Madfrog club out of the North Texas Region.  She helped Melissa HS go 21-10 overall and 10-3 in district.  Her stellar play in HS is well documented, as she will obliterate the record books when she is done next season.  In three years on varsity she has already tallied 1675 digs, 2174 service receptions, 184 aces and even had 7 kills.  She and her Madfrog team will be competing for a national championship this summer as they are qualified in the Open Division at USA Junior Nationals.  She just recently committed to Memphis University also so we couldn’t be more proud of her for realizing her dream of playing at the next level.  We are happy to have her in the State Rankings and look forward to watching her for another year.  Please help us congratulate her on being one of the best volleyball players in the state.    </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="140415" first="Ella" last="Wendel"] [2022] 6-0 Middle/Right Side (HS: Hendrickson/Club: Austin Skyline/ Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <p>Please welcome Ella to the 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings.  She went from unranked to us having her listed as the 97^thbest prospect in the state in this update. She plays at Hendrickson High School and also club for the awesome Austin Skyline Volleyball club out of the Lone Star Region. She helped Hendrickson go 19-4 overall and to an undefeated 14-0 district during her junior season.  In two years, she has tallied 382 kills on a .280 hitting percentage. She also had 113 blocks and added 32 aces. She has been a member of the Lone Star High Performance team and won the silver medal for them at the 2019 HP National Championships.  I love the competitive spirit that Ella plays with as you can see how infectious it is on her teammates.  She has tons of natural power in her strong frame and it will translate very well to the college game if given the chance.  Take a look or two and you won’t be disappointed. Welcome to the Prep Dig Family!
