Three 2023 outside hitters from the Puyallup area

<p>Promising volleyball players have been standing out all over the state of Washington. From North to South, and East to West, talent abounds in the Evergreen State with young prospects consistently climbing the volleyball ladder in different areas of the state.</p> <p>With that in mind, we’re starting a series that will highlight some of the most promising Washington players according to their positions, classes and regions. In today’s article, we’ll highlight three outside hitters from the 2023 class who stand out in the Puyallup area.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97258" first="Hailey" last="Brockway"] – HS: Graham-Kapowsin – Club: DaKine Warriors</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="97258" first="Hailey" last="Brockway"] is one of the most popular names in the area thanks to her excellent game and, in particular, to his scoring ability. The 6’1” outside hitter is easily among the most talented and powerful players in the entire state and has been leading both her high school team Graham-Kapowsin and her club team DaKine Warriors for a couple of years now. Brockway has been putting up some monster stats in high school competition as she has produced 762 kills, 378 digs, 278 passes, 73 blocks and 34 aces in two seasons with the Eagles.</p> <p><iframe title="YouTube video player" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/J2hSn8N1zlw" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97260" first="Ivy" last="Vindivich"] – HS: Puyallup – Club: DaKine Warriors</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="97260" first="Ivy" last="Vindivich"] is a versatile prospect who can play on both sides of the net and is better suited on the right. The 5’11” prospect has a really heavy arm but also an extremely smart mind and she combines both things to perfection when it comes to scoring points. Vindivich is well-versed in every aspect of the game and is coming from an excellent high school season with Puyallup in which she registered 182 kills, 90 digs and 21 aces.</p> <p><iframe title="YouTube video player" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jTIcvPngLMk" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97261" first="Bailey" last="Johnson"] – HS: Emerald Ridge – Club: DaKine Warriors</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="97261" first="Bailey" last="Johnson"] is a different kind of player when compared to Brockway or Vindivich. The 5’7” outside hitter can, for sure, bring the heat when at the net, as she showed in the last high school season with Emerald Ridge, tallying 126 kills to be team’s leading scorer. But the main strengths of her game lay on the backcourt, where she shows all her technique and court awareness to be a difference-maker on defense as she did last season, with 95 digs.
