Here are five outside hitters to watch from WKU camp.

Bailey Lee- A senior outside hitter from Ballard Memorial, Bailey Lee will help lead her squad to hopefully another successful season. Lee has an interesting story where she tore her ACL as just an 8th grader and was afraid she’d never play again. After two years and two surgeries, Lee started her junior year in 2020 and had 237 kills, 228 digs, and 27 service aces. Lee’s determination and resilience is a key factor in what makes her a great player. Watch out for this one in her senior season!

[player_tooltip player_id="106694" first="Addie" last="Atcher"]- Mentioned earlier for her standout appearance, [player_tooltip player_id="106694" first="Addie" last="Atcher"] has to make the top outsides to watch list. Atcher was constantly the go-to for Central Hardin because of her ability to hit out of system. The Lady Bruins lost their star libero, [player_tooltip player_id="68068" first="Kelsey" last="Brangers"], when she graduated, so Atcher had to step up as a leader on the floor. Addie can put a ball away when Central Hardin needs it the most which makes her a special player. Atcher will be a junior this fall and is uncommitted.

[player_tooltip player_id="104565" first="Maddie" last="Rockrohr"]- From South Warren High School, [player_tooltip player_id="104565" first="Maddie" last="Rockrohr"] will be a senior outside hitter and a central part to the success of the squad. Rockrohr may not be huge but her graceful jumping ability and knowledge of the game sets her apart from other outside hitters. Maddie also plays beach in the offseason which improves her quickness indoors but also her off-blocker defense and shot selection. Rockrohr is committed to Walters State Community College to continue her athletic and academic career.

Paige Logsdon- You can’t just include [player_tooltip player_id="104565" first="Maddie" last="Rockrohr"] and not their other star left side, Paige Logsdon. An incoming junior for the Spartans, Paige Logsdon has been an integral part of the South Warren squad. Logsdon is also not tall and mighty but knows how to tool the block and make the smart plays when her team needs it the most. Paige’s competitive attitude on the court radiates through her teammates which makes Logsdon a very special player.

[player_tooltip player_id="126342" first="Chloe" last="Cook"]- From Allen-County Scottsville, [player_tooltip player_id="126342" first="Chloe" last="Cook"] will enter her senior season as a six rotation all the way around outside. Small but mighty at 5’8, Cook is crafty with her shots and impacts the team from every angle. Last year, she helped the team with over 100 kills, 150 assists, 200 digs, and 34 service aces. It’s very unique of an outside to be as well rounded as Cook is. Chloe was a major reason in their success last year with a district championship, so it will be intriguing to see her impact as a senior!
