Nothing better than getting to hear about players reaching milestones during their high school careers. Here is part 4 of the milestone reached for 2021. The first four are the most recent, and if you know a player that has broken a school record or reached a milestone, please let me know.

Milestones Part 4

[player_tooltip player_id="41798" first="Annie" last="Arand"] (2022) | Borgia

Another milestone racked up for Arand, and this time it’s 2000 assists. The senior has put a lot of effort in accumulating these milestones and reached the 2000 assists milestone in only two years running the show for the Knights.

[player_tooltip player_id="152153" first="Grace" last="Hicks"] (2023) | Lesterville

In her second year running the 5-1 offense for the Bearcats, Hicks has reached the 2000 assists mark. She had several big guns to feed the ball to and hopes to leave a legacy at Lesterville. Currently, with 2088 Hicks would sit at 17th in career assists with one year remaining.
[caption id="attachment_163342" align="alignnone" width="300"] Photo: Athletic Director Betsy Middleton Lesterville Facebook page[/caption]

[player_tooltip player_id="102546" first="Jaycee" last="Fixsen"] (2022) | Nixa

The powerful outside hitter and Missouri State commit reached the 1000 kill earlier this year and currently sits at 1164. Hoping to guide her team back to the final four for the third consecutive year, Fixsen will become the all-time Nixa kill leader in the sectional round against Joplin. She only needs 5 to pass Aubrey Cheffey’s school record of 1168. Fixsen would jump into the top 20 for career kills in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="123465" first="Reese" last="Gray"] (2023) | Lesterville

After her teammate, [player_tooltip player_id="41797" first="Mallory" last="Polk"], broke the single-season kill record for the state of Missouri last year, Gray turned around and replaced her former teammate at the top spot with 648 to end her junior year. Currently, with 1475 kills for her career, Gray sits in seventh place in the record books.

Milestone Part 3

[player_tooltip player_id="41808" first="Madison" last="Corf"] (2022) | Liberty

The 5’11 outside hitter for the Blue Jays reached the 1000 career kill mark this week. Liberty is currently 19-3 and looking to extend the season next week come district playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id="99216" first="Ashley" last="Mullen"] (2023) |Liberty

UCLA commit reached the 2000 assists plateau this week and has another year to get 3000. It won’t be easy, but she has the firepower around her to make it another milestone next year.

[player_tooltip player_id="102557" first="Ava" last="Roth"] (2023) | Jefferson

Blue Jays have a solid team this year looking to make a run at the final four. With Ava being a six rotation player for Jefferson, she reached 1000 digs last week. Being a libero for her club team had helped her reach this goal.

[player_tooltip player_id="41798" first="Annie" last="Arand"] (2022) |Borgia

The Borgia Knight has eclipsed the 1000 digs this past week and is on the verge of surpassing 2000 career assists. Incredible feats for a setter who’s only been the starting setter for two years and played libero her first two years.

[player_tooltip player_id="41824" first="Ally" last="Williams"] (2022) | Oakville

The heart and soul of the Tigers team, the fiery libero, hit the 1000 dig plateau earlier this month.

[player_tooltip player_id="41825" first="Isabel" last="Zimmerman"] (2022) |Liberty North

A Class 5 state championship highlights her high school career and adds 1000 kill milestone to the list.

Milestones Part 2

Kennedy Janes (2022) | Fort Zumwalt North

Another nasty digging libero has broken the 1000 career digs milestone and is currently with 1459 career digs. Kennedy accomplished this while being the libero for the last two years.

[player_tooltip player_id="41800" first="Nora" last="Belden"] (2022) | Kirkwood 1000 digs

The defensive dandy for the Pioneers surpassed 1000 career digs early this season and currently has 1266 for her career. Look for her to reach 1500 by the end of the season.

Emma Clark (2023) | Burroughs

The setter for [player_tooltip player_id="102445" first="Vanessa" last="Polk"] reached 1000 career assists this year as a junior. With a season-high 46 reached twice last month in two wins.

[player_tooltip player_id="102452" first="Kennedy" last="Lane"] (2022) | St. Pius X (Festus)

William Woods is getting a special player next year in Lane. The 5’11 outside hitter eclipsed the 1000 kills milestone earlier this year for the Lancers. Add her to a long list of successful St. Pius players.

[player_tooltip player_id="102445" first="Vanessa" last="Polk"] (2022) | Burroughs

The Pepperdine recruit reached the 1000 kills earlier this season. With her athleticism and power, I see Vanessa getting close to passing 1500 career kills by season end.

Malerie Sharp (2022) | Gideon

The quarterback to a Class 1 team that has some big wins in the early season. With her ball distribution to 1 of the five hitters, Malerie is running the offense to perfection. Currently with 424 assists and a season-high 35 in a 3-0 sweep of Bloomfield. Watch for Malerie to get to 2000 assists before her career is over.

[player_tooltip player_id="119204" first="Alexis" last="Arnel"] (2022) | Francis Howell Central

The Spartans have a couple of firepower underclassmen leading them for the year in kills. Still, those hitters wouldn’t be getting all the notoriety without Alexis keeping the ball off the floor. She shined the most with 33 in a 5 set win over rival Francis Howell and reached the 1000 digs early this season.

Baylee Russ (2022) | Midway

The 5-11 Viking is off and running again this year to guide her team back to the final four. Baylee Russ surpassed 1000 kills for her career and is currently 2nd in Missouri for total kills at 410.

Milestones Part 1

Caroline Beckman (2022) |Eldon

September 7th Beckman eclipsed 1000 kill plateau in a 3-2 win over Capital City.

[player_tooltip player_id="119196" first="Isabella" last="Limback"] (2022) | Santa Fe

She reached the 1000 kills earlier this season and currently has 1240 career kills for the 15-0 Cheifs.

Chloe Asplin (2022) | Winona

Surpassed 2000 career assists and currently has 2039.

Drew Gayle (2023) | South Iron

The Panther junior setter reached 1000 assists earlier this season and currently has 1132 for her career.

[player_tooltip player_id="123465" first="Reese" last="Gray"] (2023) | Lesterville

The junior outside hitter for the Bearcats surpassed 1000 kills at the beginning of the season and 1163 for her career.

[player_tooltip player_id="41812" first="Tevi" last="Gurley"] (2022) | El Dorado Springs

With 956 kills and 1447 assists for her career, look for Gurley to reach 1000 kill plateau.

Reese Schaff (2022) |El Dorado Springs

Teammate and another big-time player for the Bulldogs, Reese has 996 career kills and 1306 assists.
