You should make time in your schedule to see these players because they are making SportsCenter-worthy plays happen in the heart of Badgerland. We are focusing on an area that goes as far north as Marathon County, as far east as Shawano County, along the southern borders of Juneau/Adams/Marquette/Green Lake counties, and then as far west as Wood County. In 2020 she earned All-State honors to go along with her typical yearly All-Conference honors. Struble has quick reflexes and relentless pursuit for the ball. But it’s not just about the digs, it’s about how she plays. Struble has a way of making opposing hitters uncomfortable and makes them look bad when they struggle scoring against her. [player_tooltip player_id="159653" first="Jessica" last="Maurer"] – 2022 – 5’6 – Outside Hitter - Mosinee Maurer is a rare type of player who isn’t overly specialized in any particular position but has learned almost all of them and does them very well. My first thought about Maurer isn’t that she is a flashy player that makes big baboom kills, but anyone who knows anything about volleyball will appreciate her all-around ability, as well as her finesse when cutting the ball down the net, or going high and hard off a pair of blocker’s hands just waiting to be tooled. There is thought and strategy that goes into everything she does, and it’s fun to watch. It’s like Maurer plays chess while others are playing checkers.
