Prospect Rankings: Five 2024 Point Scorers Added

Dittmar is long and athletic and her contact point makes her difficult to defend. She has big upside with good power, control, and ability to score from both sides of the court with equal effectiveness.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169129" first="Chloe" last="Gels"]</strong> - 5'10 | St. Hentry | Ranking = #34<br /> Gels helped St. Henry to a runner-up finish in the Division IV state championship match. She had over 300 kills on the season while hitting at a respectable .254 attack percentage. She maximizes her physical tools of quickness and lift well, which allows her to create good range with her arm through the opponent's court. Her versatility to score on the pin and in quicker middle-type tempos proved to be very valuable for her team and offensive productivity.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169116" first="Alyvia" last="Hughes"]</strong> - 5'9 | Western Reserve | Ranking = #39<br /> Hughes was a third team all-Ohio selection for Division IV following her high school performance in 2021. She had 321 kills on the season for a 3.7 kills per set average. She led the Blue Devils offensively as they finished the season at 22-4 overall. An avid beach player, Hughes has over 500 career kills and a career hitting percentage of .245 after just two seasons at Western Reserve.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169104" first="Mia" last="McDougal"]</strong> - 5'6 | Buckeye Central | Ranking = #31<br /> McDougal is so fun to watch compete. At just 5'6, she plays middle for the Bucks and helped them to an undefeated conference season and a 23-2 overall record. She was one of the team's offensive leaders with a 2.2 kills per set average while hitting .307. She is very athletic and held her own in the middle with quick elevation and good space and timing to make big plays with her arm at the net. She also contributed an impressive 3.4 blocks per match.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="169106" first="Samantha" last="Young"]</strong> - 5'11 | Rocky River | Ranking = #26<br /> The Cleveland area prospect is a dynamic offensive threat. She averaged 4.9 kills per set terminating 358 kills on the season while hitting at a .303 clip, impressive numbers given her offensive workload for her team. She has good footwork and fluid approach patterns. Her arm speed and ability to swing with good range are on full display in the air when she gets to the ball on balance as she can get the ball onto the defense with good pace. She also averaged 9.1 digs per match in 2021.</p>
