With the all-important junior year of club season coming, the big names are coming off the board quickly. To me, this particular group of kids made the biggest strides from the previous release back in August. Here are the top five rising stocks in the class of ’23.

[player_tooltip player_id="85926" first="Raegan" last="Burns"], 5-4 DS/L, Boiler Juniors, McCutcheon, committed to Kansas

A state title run, a national championship, and now THIS?!? You can’t ask for a better existence than what Miss Burns has gone through in her volleyball career. A full-time libero, Raegan can pass everything and dig everything else. She’s easily passing half the court most times in high school, and should continue to shoulder that responsibility moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="85914" first="Ramsey" last="Gary"], 5-5 DS/L, Munciana, Pendleton Heights, committed to Indiana

Steve Aird already has a full-time libero in Florida transfer Paula Cerame, but did he just nab the heir apparent? Ramsey is the quiet, get-the-job-done libero that you just plug in to any situation. Similar to Raegan above, Miss Gary can pass half the court, anticipates better than most in this class, and covers for a lot of lesser defenders that she’s around.

[player_tooltip player_id="85921" first="Molly" last="Urban"], 5-4 DS/L, Circle City, Martinsville, committed to Louisville

Three liberi committed already in this class? Yessiree, and all three are more than worthy. None moreso than Molly, who recently committed to the #1 team in the land. Martinsville’s success this past fall cannot happen without Miss Urban getting the first touch on every ball. Steady in serve receive, relentless on defense, this is the one kid you just can’t hit the ball to in any situation, ever.

[player_tooltip player_id="156466" first="Kennedy" last="Wagner"], 6-1 OH, 1st Alliance, Valparaiso (HS), committed to Ole Miss

After making the NCAA Tournament, the Rebels get a hammer on the left (or right) pin in Kennedy. Miss Wagner looks to be the replacement for leading attacker Anna Bair, and should do just fine with that heavy arm and above average blocking. In the SEC, you’re gonna need both if you want to continue heading to the NCAA Tourney.

[player_tooltip player_id="85918" first="Sydney" last="Robinson"], 5-8 OH, Munciana, Brebeuf

The lone athlete on this list without a commitment, it shouldn’t be long before this ten-foot-jumping outside finds a home for the fall of ’23. She just finished leading her Braves to a 3A state title, and should look to do so again next fall. Add in some of that Munciana training, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Sydney.
