2024 Rankings-Five Outside Hitters to Watch

<p>Five outside hitters were essential parts of their team and were relied on to keep their teams going when senior stars rotated to the back row. These five players provided the additional outlet, and they produced. Other players on the team overshadowed all five, but next year will be the time for them to shine. Watch for these players to step into the spotlight and perform at a high level.</p>

<p><strong>33. [player_tooltip player_id="150048" first="Rylie" last="Cepicky"]-OH-Eureka</strong></p>
<p>6’0" outside hitter provided the Wildcats with a solid outlet on the outside to back up [player_tooltip player_id="102446" first="Madison" last="Scheer"], and Cepicky did not disappoint. Long, athletic outside would finish her first year as a starter with 210 kills. Keep an eye on this one as she will need to replace stud [player_tooltip player_id="102446" first="Madison" last="Scheer"] as the go-to outside next year. </p>

<p><strong style="font-size: 1rem;">39. [player_tooltip player_id="150050" first="Shae" last="Pearson"]-OH-Francis Howell Central/HPSTL</strong></p>
<p>6’0" outside hitter was one of three underclassmen the Spartans relied on to carry the offensive load this year, and Pearson did her part. She ended the year with 239 kills and 149 digs. Look for Pearson’s game to take off next year as she got more experience in the club season. </p>

<p><strong style="font-size: 1rem;">56. [player_tooltip player_id="168902" first="Angie" last="Smith"]-OH-Houston</strong></p>
<p>A fierce competitor that keeps getting better as the fiery 5’8" outside hitter leads her team to its best finish in years at 26-6-2. Team leader in kills with 306 and 2<sup>nd</sup> on the team in digs with 373, so watch out for this one next season, as she will become the primary offensive threat as a junior.</p>

<p><strong>64. [player_tooltip player_id="168910" first="Ade" last="Weiler"]-OH-Valle Catholic</strong></p>
<p>Tiny but mighty, the 5’5” outside hitter enjoyed her first year on varsity and significantly impacted defense. She finished the year with 126 kills, but more importantly, a nasty defender scooped up 332 digs. </p>

<p><strong>68. [player_tooltip player_id="170031" first="Kameron" last="Dankenbring"]-OH-Santa Fe</strong></p>
<p>This year, the 5’9" outside hitter for the Chiefs became a big-time player to help back up star [player_tooltip player_id="119196" first="Isabella" last="Limback"]. Look for Kameron to be the big weapon to replace Limback. Dankenbring would step on the court this year as a starter and hammer 221 kills and 236 digs for the Class 1 third-place finisher. </p>
