2024 Rankings Update: Stock-Risers

<p>We’ve now had some time to really get a look at the 2024 prospects in the state of Michigan.</p> <p>As they enter the thick of the club season, it’s a big time for them to start making a name for themselves with college scouts.</p> <p>As we just released our latest Class of 2024 rankings update, here’s a look at some of the players that climbed up the list since August.</p> <h4><strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id="110301" first="Hailey" last="Green"], L/DS North Branch/Michigan Elite</strong></h4> <p>Green is one of many underclassmen standouts for North Branch. She was a huge part of leading the Broncos to the Division 2 state final this year. Her toughness and grit is easy to see by watching her play, but she combines that with a lot of athleticism and quick reactions. Green climbed from No. 11 to our top-5.</p> <h4><strong>9. [player_tooltip player_id="172198" first="Isabelle" last="Swiercz"], OH Hudsonville/FaR Out</strong></h4> [caption id="attachment_130429" align="alignright" width="176"]<img class="wp-image-130429" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pd/uploads/2021/02/82_Isabelle-Swiercz2-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="176" height="176" /> [player_tooltip player_id="172198" first="Isabelle" last="Swiercz"][/caption] <p>Swiercz makes her debut on our rankings at No. 9 after helping Hudsonville reach the Division 1 semifinals this fall. As part of a deep roster of hitting talent, Swiercz put down over 300 kills for Hudsonville and improved on her blocking throughout the year. At 6’2”, Swiercz has great size that will only compliment her ever-improving game.</p> <h4><strong>10. [player_tooltip player_id="153662" first="Catherine" last="Flaharty"], OH Saline/L2</strong></h4> <p>Another sophomore with good size at 6’1”, Flaharty was one of the big arms for Saline this fall, as part of a young roster of hitters. She grew a lot of leadership and confidence throughout the fall, which should help her lead the new L2 club program this winter. Flaharty moved from No. 13 to No. 10 in our latest update.</p> <h4><strong>17. [player_tooltip player_id="110287" first="Kaela" last="Chingwa"], MH North Branch/North Branch VBC</strong></h4> <p>Chingwa was also part of the young North Branch team that reached the Division 2 semifinals this fall. While she was a big finisher, with over 200 kills while hitting .318, she also was a major force on the block. Chingwa have over 110 blocks for the prep season. The 6’2” Chingwa plays with a lot of command at the net. [player_tooltip player_id="153672" first="Audrey" last="Geer"], OH Frankenmuth/Legacy</strong></h4> <p>Geer really had a breakout prep season and put her full skillset on display at Frankenmuth. She’s got a great court IQ with tremendous ball control. She’s also very explosive on her attacks, giving her a real total package. Legacy has a lot of anticipation for her this club season as well. Look for Geer to really emerge as one of the top six-rotation outsides in this class. She was unranked in our fall rankings.</p> <h4><strong>32. [player_tooltip player_id="176596" first="Marianna" last="Rivera"], MH Williamston/L2</strong></h4> <p>Another long blocking option in the middle for this class, Rivera stands 6’3” and is still growing. Rivera is tough for opponents to get around at the net, and she also can bring down a powerful attack when her number is called. As she continues to improve on her footwork and adds new weapons to her arsenal, she’s going to continue to move up our rankings.
