Michigan Elite 15 Mizuno is filled out a roster of shining stars that are working to make a name for themselves in this class and should be able to do so in the coming months.

Coached by Mayssa Cook, who has a lot of history producing elite talent, here's a closer look at 15 Mizuno.

High-Ceiling Middles

One area that Michigan Elite has a lot of promise is with its two primary middles in [player_tooltip player_id='774460' first='Harper' last='Dallaire'] and [player_tooltip player_id='787391' first='Karsyn' last='Ignash']. Ignash is 6'2”, while Dallaire is 6'1” and both use their size and length well. Both have the athleticism and footwork skills to play on the outside if needed, which just makes them more dangerous as middles. They're quick and can see the floor well to dominate the middle of the floor on both offense and defense.

Well-Rounded Outsides

To go with the towering middles, Michigan Elite has [player_tooltip player_id='858244' first='Cornelia' last='Friedrich'], [player_tooltip player_id='849580' first='Jordyn' last='Holly'], [player_tooltip player_id='776427' first='Natalia' last='Zywicki'] and [player_tooltip player_id='776389' first='Taylor' last='Rivers'] available on the outside. Each bring their own strengths, but all show good movement on the floor and can provide some key defensive plays while remaining explosive at the net. These four keep adding new facets to their attack and working on their consistency to help propel their play to another level in the coming year.

Leadership Positions

Michigan Elite has strong leaders at setter and libero to help rally the team together. [player_tooltip player_id='850401' first='Avery' last='Geer'] and [player_tooltip player_id='888944' first='Stella' last='Whirley'] handle the setting duties. Each communicates well and plays with determination. Their desire to improve will keep taking them to greater heights among 2029 setters. In the back row, [player_tooltip player_id='775516' first='Elizabeth' last='Burke'] handles the libero role. Burke is another solid all-around athlete that can make an impressive swing when needed, but her quickness and ability to get under the ball and remain accurate in her passing is what makes her stand out.

Expectations

Michigan Elite 15 Mizuno is inching toward turning a corner in their play. They've had some ups and downs, but keep putting together stretches of strong play. The coaching of Cook is sure to keep bringing the best out of these players as the club season moves along. Once everything clicks into place, this team should be able to compete with the best amongst the Midwest and come through with some wins they weren't able to get earlier in the season.
