<p>During the 2021 high school volleyball season, the 12th Region featured numerous talented young players, some of whom were sophomore hitters. </p>
<p>Here are three 2024 12th Region hitters to watch. </p>
<p><strong>Sydney Cummins</strong> is a sophomore outside hitter from East Jessamine High School. Cummins possesses solid jumping ability and elevates well at the net. A talented outside hitter who can hit from both the front row and the back row, Cummins reads opposing defenses successfully in addition to completing attack hits regularly. </p>
<p><strong>Gracie Gay</strong> is a sophomore opposite/outside hitter from Lincoln County High School. Gay can hit consistently from either side of the net and has shown the ability to block, individually as well as with the middle blocker. Agile and athletic, Gay reacts quickly along the front row and possesses solid back row skills. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158393" first="Maggie" last="Holt"]</strong> is a sophomore outside hitter/defensive specialist from Pulaski County High School. Holt has a diverse skill set with the ability to produce both offensively and defensively. Able to adjust well to sets coming from any location, Holt can be a go-to hitter and a primary passer while contributing defensively. </p>
