The Minnesota Club Scene is always buzzing at the Big City Luau. The Luau plays host to club programs that feature numerous talented players and versatile attackers. Here are five 2022 hitters who dominated at the net in the 18 Premier division during the Big City Luau. [player_tooltip player_id="72787" first="Abby" last="Frie"] – 6'0 – Middle Blocker – Minnesota – [program_tooltip program_id='429186' first='Kandi' last='Elite'] 18-1 She sees the court really well, and if you put a block up in front of her, she will power tip to the deep corner like it was easy peasy. She works really hard in transition, even if a rally goes significantly longer than usual. She holds the opposing blockers' attention and executes when called upon. [player_tooltip player_id="179277" first="Brynn" last="Johnson"] – 6'1 – Outside Hitter – River Falls (WI) – Kokoro 18-1 Johnson is a senior outside hitter for River Falls High School. She took on a big role for the Wildcats in the 2022 high school volleyball season. She can hit consistently from anywhere in the front row and makes adjustments to sets coming from anywhere. Johnson also puts up a big block on defense. Pharr is athletic, and she does a great job of hustling in every aspect of her game, even after she serves and plays a half rotation of defense. It's all hustle for her. She is comfortable taking the 2nd or 3rd contact and excels whenever she is up at the net. Larson is productive as a hitter and takes care of any of the tight passes and like a pro when she is setting. She is continually working hard in transition to make herself available. When the setter feeds her to establish the middle attack, she makes a clear statement that she is here to stay. Roettger is versatile and adaptable to run a number of routes along the net. She is quick off the ground and has a fast arm swing.
