The 17s division of the Chi-Town classic was loaded with talent. There were some well-rounded and powerful pins who will be picked up quickly by college coaches! What I loved at the 17s level was how fearless so many of the pins were. They were not afraid to be aggressive and make big plays in tough or high-pressure situations.

[player_tooltip player_id="119397" first="Samantha" last="Kempinger"] – Impact 17 National

Samantha was a solid pin offensively but excelled on serve receive. We all know that serve and serve receive wins games and Samantha took Impact’s serve receive to the next level. She also swung well out of serve receive and in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id="91931" first="Kate" last="Henze"] – Impact 17 National

Kate is consistent and has a good balance of power and ball control. She has great contact on the ball and executes well in and out of system. She is also valuable defensively and on serve receive.

Elise Verdin – New Wave 17 Tornado

Elise was impressive from start to finish over the course of the Chi-Town Classic. Her platform was clean and consistent on defense and serve receive. She had a positive impact on nearly every play for her team.

Melana Pries – Lions Starved Rock 17 Red

Melana had great contact on the ball. She has a high swing and good snap that allows her to make awesome plays for her team. She was impactful for her team on offense and was able to manufacture kills.

[player_tooltip player_id="122492" first="Meg" last="Pfannerstill"] – Wisconsin Ice 17 National

Meg has a great vertical and explosive approach. She is super scrappy on defense and offense. Her awesome vertical allows her to hit over opposing blockers and make smart shots in the air. She has huge potential as an athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id="149694" first="Samantha" last="Perlberg"] – Wisconsin Ice 17 National

Samantha is the definition of a great six rotation outside hitter. She is strong in all of her skills and very consistent. Samantha also manufactures points for her team and is reliable on offense and defense. She is also fast and has a huge vertical.

Allison Erlich – RVA 17 Navy

Ally was very consistent for the RVA team. She was also an energizer on the court. She excels offensively, finding great shots and using the opposing block to her advantage. Ally is a smart player with a lot of potential and rarely made mistakes.

[player_tooltip player_id="122532" first="Annalise" last="Patchett"] – FC Elite 16 Navy

Annalise is an awesome 6-rotation outside hitter. She is explosive in her approach yet controlled on defense and serve receive. Her court awareness is great and allows her to take risks with her swings while still being consistent. She has a huge amount of potential and will be a pin to watch in the next few years.
