Continue ReadingIt is finally here! We have the top 70 volleyball players from the 2025 class listed and ranked. We have been watching the 2025 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have also attended quite a few club tournaments already and have seen a lot of these players in action in person. After countless hours of analyzing we are proud of the list we have published. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings. Please welcome them with open arms.
Gillian Pitts Gillian Pitts 5'9" | DS/L Prestonwood Christian | 2025 State #92 Nation TX [2025] 5-9 Libero (HS: Prestonwood Christian/Club: Texas Advantage Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Pitts to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 5th best overall prospect and the top libero in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We profiled her a little while age and here is a refresher about what we wrote, “We have not written about Gillian yet due to her grad class not being released yet. But I will let you in on a little secret…she is one of the best liberos in the country. Her skill-set in the back row is on another level and everyone who watches her court will see that. But what most college coaches will notice about her is how emotions stay in check despite playing against players older than her. They will notice that she is consistent no matter the atmosphere. Call her the mailwoman because she always delivers! During the tightest moments when her team needs her the most, she will pass a “three pass” during serve receive so her team can be in-system. Miss Pitts is someone who will always remain calm during the storm and it should be commended.” We have been lucky enough to watch her twice already this season at Volleyfest and also at the Triple Crown NIT in Kansas City. What we saw when we watched her play was no fluke. This young lady has it all. She puts herself in such a great position to play the ball and has a great natural touch. The one aspect that gets overlooked due to her height is her foot speed. She is deceptively quick and that speed can be seen in her fast-twitch reaction to deflections off of the block. We are excited about her future and will enjoy covering her for the next three years. Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the best players in the State.
Callie Krueger Callie Krueger 5'5" | DS/L Cedar Park | 2025 State #22 Nation TX [2023] 5-5 Libero (HS: Cedar Park/Club: Austin Skyline//Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Krueger to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 12th best overall prospect and 2nd best libero in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We recently profiled her when we wrote about her club team and how they fared at the recent Triple Crown NIT and here is a refresher of what we wrote, “Callie has made a huge splash since switching over from the setting position to the libero spot. In only one year, this kiddo makes it look like she has been in the position for the last five. Her volleyball IQ is out of this world and many of us watching noticed it as she knows all of the rotations and who is supposed to be in the game at all times. I watched her footwork and movement very closely instead of watching the rally and she is always one step ahead of everyone and puts herself in the best position to play the ball. I love how it looks like she is able to see deflections before they happen because she is always in a fantastic position to play the errant ball to keep her team in the rally.” We truly believe that she is not only one of the best liberos in the state, but the country also. She is the daughter of a coach/director and the apple does not fall far from the tree as she understands the game like a coach. This student of the game will be a game changer for any program that scoops her up. The ball comes off of her platform so softly on hard driven balls and this is due to her absorption at contact, which is elite. If you are recruiting her, we know you will enjoy her court vision. Give her a solid look and you will not be disappointed. Please congratulate her on being named one of the best players in the State of Texas.
Sydney Black Sydney Black 5'6" | DS/L Fulshear | 2025 State #95 Nation TX [2025] 5-6 Libero (HS: Fulshear/Club: Houston Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Sydney to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 16th best overall prospect and 3rd best libero in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays at Fulshear High School and for Houston Juniors. I watched her very closely in Kansas City at the Triple Crown NIT and she played lights out. Her posture, digging angles and footwork stood out while watching her do work with her talented club squad. Every great team needs someone to take control of the back row and help dictate the offense. Her passes gave her setters the perfect opportunities to run a fast and furious offense by keeping them in-system. I loved her footwork on the court as she was super quick adjusting her defensive spot. She is definitely someone to keep on your radar as a top libero recruit. Please congratulate her on being chosen as one of the best liberos in the state.
