Continue ReadingIt is finally here! We have the top 70 volleyball players from the 2025 class listed and ranked. We have been watching the 2025 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have also attended quite a few club tournaments already and have seen a lot of these players in action in person. After countless hours of analyzing we are proud of the list we have published. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings. Please welcome them with open arms.
Taylor Cook Taylor Cook 5'11" | S Prestonwood Christian Academy | 2025 State #87 Nation TX [2025] 5-11 Setter (HS: Melissa/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Taylor officially to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 7th best overall prospect and the best setter in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays at Melissa High School and for the amazing Dallas Skyline club program. We profiled her during an article on the Triple Crown and here is what we stated, “Taylor is someone who I have watched twice this year as she attended our top 250 Expo in December. She was so stellar in her performance there that I moved her up to the 17’s and 18’s court and she held her own at a high level. She did the same thing this weekend against some of the best competition in the nation. If you don’t know her name now, just give it some time because she is one of the best setters in the nation in her grad class. We have not released the rankings yet, but when we do, she for sure will be ranked high. Taylor can do it all on the court with ease. I haven’t seen a player of her caliber in the position with this much potential in a while. She is like a surgeon with her setting precision.” Her laser jump serve is super tough and so consistent. When you watch her play, you will be amazed at how she just floats like a ghost from location to location so easily. It’s almost as if she has some super human ability while moving on the court. The ball also comes out of her hands so smoothly. She was made for this game and plays it the way it was supposed to be played. I enjoy watching her on the court and think you will too. If you are at a tourney where she is at, you should definitely stop by her court and add her to your short list of players to keep your eye on. Please congratulate her on being named the best setter in her age group in the state of Texas.
Kirra Musgrove Kirra Musgrove 6'2" | S Lutheran South Academy | 2025 State #12 Nation TX [2025] 6-1 Setter/Right Side (HS: Clear Falls/Club: Houston Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Kirra officially to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 9th best overall prospect and 2nd best setter in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. The lengthy setter plays for Clear Falls and Houston Juniors. We profiled her recently when we covered the Triple Crown Nit in Kansas City and here is a refresher on what we stated, “She doubles as a right side attacker in their six-two high-octane offense. She was firing some lasers to her hitters in all three positions all weekend long. Every match I watched, she threw up some absolute beautiful dimes to her middles and created some great one on ones for her pins. She is someone who had a lot of college scouts talking not only about her size, but mainly about her skill-set. Stay tuned because she has only begun to tap into her potential.” While she does have tons of upside as an elite attacker, I personally think she has even more potential as a setter. The ball comes out of her hands so fast and her sets are so replicable. She has great posture when jump setting and it is very difficult to determine where she is going to go with the ball. This will have her amongst the elite setters in the nation as she continues to grow in the position. I am very proud to have her in the State Rankings. Please help us congratulate her.
Takyla Brown Takyla Brown 5'9" | S Weiss | 2025 State #150 Nation TX [2025] 5-9 Setter (HS: Weiss/Club: Austin Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Takyla to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 24th best overall prospect and 4th best setter in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays at Weiss High School and for the awesome Austin Juniors. I have been lucky enough to see her play twice in person this season. She is a silky smooth facilitator of a fast offense with her AJV squad. Watching her play the position makes me smile knowing that she was born to do it. That is how natural she makes it look when you pay attention to her individual play. Her posture is always balanced when delivering to her attackers. She has amazing fast twitch reflexes that let you know this youngster will be around in the top of the list for a long time. But what I love is that she is just getting started. I see a ton of potential in Miss Brown and think she can rise in the rankings as the years go by because she is a pure sniper with the ball in her hand. Stay tuned for more on Takyla. Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the best players in the state of Texas.
