Musgrove will be with Houston Skyline 18 Royal as they navigate the challenging 18 Open division. The top-ranked player in her position in her age group in our Class of 2025 Prep Dig State Rankings, she’s playing one age group up and is still a difference-maker for her team. Musgrove checks all the boxes when you think of an elite setter as she has the size, the skills and the mental solidness to do everything she’s asked on the court and more. Her setting is very smooth and she thrives by keeping all her hitters involved – which is not a big challenge considering the high level of her offensive options with 18 Royal. A lefty, Musgrove also serves well and takes up hitting duties with great efficiency at the net.

Playing one age group up, Musgrove led her team Houston Skyline 18 Royal to victory in the 18s division. She displayed great connection with her hitters and formed a strong combo with fellow setter/right side Cayley Hanson Cayley Hanson 6'2" | S Deer Park | 2024 State #43 Nation TX , giving the team excellent playmaking and a strong offensive option in every rotation. Musgrove is very strong technical and physically and does a very good job of quickly getting to the ball to set, which keeps every option open to her. Also very calm and precise, she still contributed to the team’s success at the net by scoring points with her skilled left hand and her big blocking.

Lutheran South’s top scorer and most talented player couldn’t carry her team to victory, but had a solid performance in a night in which she was extremely demanded. With most hitters struggling and the team’s passing fairly inconsistent, Musgrove was set a lot (and not always in system) and had good moments using power or vision to score in difficult plays. She also tried to do the best she could to generate good scoring opportunities for her hitters when setting, but couldn’t find an answer to Fort Bend Christian’s strong blocking and defense. Musgrove also played excellent defense herself and kept her team in the game with her play.

One of the top setters in teh state, Musgrove transferred to Lutheran South Academy last season and entirely transformed the team. A player with the physical and technical tools to impact the game in a variety of ways, she’s used in a system that exploits her skills to the most, setting when she’s on the backcourt and hitting when at the net. Musgrove’s ball control and distribution are excellent and she feels the game very well, always making good decisions. A lefty, she has a whip of an arm, being the team’s top offensive player and also contributing with her blocking and serving.

We’re about to mention a few 2025s who played up in 17 Open. Musgrove is a player who has to be in that discussion. The Texas A&M commit was an all-tournament honoree in 17 Open and showed all the skills necessary to be an elite setter. Her rhythm to the pins was impeccable, and Houston Skyline found an unstoppable groove en route to a podium finish at GJNC.

Her game checks every box when it comes to being an elite setter as she has the size, the skills, the athleticism and the mindset to thrive in the position. Musgrove is very skilled on the ball, making good choices with her distribution and delivering excellent sets to every location. A lefty, she’s also a scoring threat herself, being capable of putting the ball with setter dumps or by taking up hitting duties when at the net, and can also serve tough.

After an extraordinary club season with Houston Juniors, Musgrove has joined Skyline, where she’ll be playing one age group up. One of the top prospects in the entire state in the Class of 2025, Musgrove is more than ready for the challenge as she has everything coaches could want in an elite setter. Her ball handling is second to none and she’s always very calm and intelligent with her distribution. Musgrove is also a talented blocker and has developed an aggressive setter dump (which is more of a hit on two) which is incredibly hard to stop because of her size and the angles she’s capable of finding. She’s also very strong on the backcourt as her floater can be a nightmare for opposing passers and she can play very good defense.
