I lost count of the different states represented, as prospects went to their positional courts after warm-ups. AOC decided to start hosting ID Clinics when the pandemic made the recruiting process even more challenging than it already is. With the ability to use video, coaches and athletes didn’t have to cross state lines, quarantine, etc.
I enjoyed the familiar set-up with athlete testing, positional groups where athletes got multiple reps, and several coaches on each court. I do think organizations such as the AOC and Prep Dig are doing a great job of providing athletes and coaches with what they need at showcases. To bring all the athletes back together with 6 on 6 drills and competition, we were able to see many talented players show off their skill sets. There were some players that definitely stood out and caught my attention at some point during the clinic.
Liberos:
Hannah Langton – 2024 – 5’8 – Libero – Genoa Kingston (IL) – VC United 161 Elite
Langton was showing off her ability to accurately dig a hard-driven ball early on in the clinic. She is athletic, aggressive on defense, and passes really well. Langton is fast to the ball and quick laterally as well.
Hanging with @ArtofCoachingVB today at their Talent ID Camp. The bros are showing off their defensive control early.
#167 Hannah Langston – 2024 @wearevcunited
#138 – unknown
#198 Addi Rains Addi Rains 5'5" | DS/L Yorktown | 2024 State #157 Nation IN – 2024 @MuncianaVB pic.twitter.com/LTMZG3zbRx— Breit Nelson (@BreitNelson) April 7, 2022
Addi Rains Addi Rains 5'5" | DS/L Yorktown | 2024 State #157 Nation IN – 2024 – 5’5 – Libero – Yorktown (IN) – Munciana 16 Moana
Rains does a great job of getting her hips under the ball and keeping her dig up in the middle for a setter to utilize however she’d like. She is a talented passer with a positive attitude. When it came to gameplay, Rains had good leadership qualities and wasn’t afraid to step up and take the lead on the defense.
Adriana Lane – 2023 – Libero – Belleville (MI) – Team Detroit
Laine is a strong defender and does a nice job getting her hips under the ball. She also does a great job of creating strong platform angles in a smooth and simple movement. Laine is fast to the ball, has a quick-twitch reaction, and has a positive attitude.

Katy Ilkka Katy Ilkka 5'4" | DS/L Pacelli Catholic | 2025 State WI – 2025 – Libero – Pacelli (WI) – Wisconsin Ice 15 National
Ilkka did a great job of providing a solid first contact whether it was serve-receive, passing, or digging a hard-driven hit. She did a great job communicating with her hitters while also covering them and making sure the ball was always played and never dropped unnecessarily. Ilkka demonstrated confidence in taking the second ball and gave 100% on every play.
Middle Blockers:
Avery Bain – 2023 – Middle Blocker – Burrell (PA) – Revolution PGH 17 White
I love the high contact point and intensity with which Bain plays. She puts up a strong block and wastes no time taking control of the net. Bain is athletic, springy, and super aggressive!
Baylie Snyder – 2025 – 5’8 – Middle Blocker – Waynesville (OH) – Air City Chix 15 Pink
Snyder is really active at the net, and she was always talking, working with her setters, and strategizing during 6v6. She was making smart shots and working hard in transition. Snyder is also really quick laterally, blocks well, and has a good vertical.
Hollan Everett – 2023 – Middle Blocker – Norris City Omaha Enfield (IL) – Evansville United 17 Black
Everett has a really high contact point and contacts on top of the ball. She takes a fast swing and knows how to command the net. Everett is quick, agile, and has a good vertical to make her a dynamic blocker.
Avery Parris – 2024 – Middle Blocker – Reitz Memorial (IN) – Metro Volleyball Club
Parris is hard-working and a great blocker. She is fast in transition and knows how to score. Parris is athletic, can run different routes, and is a strong blocking presence.
Setters:
Avery Veenendall Avery Veenendall 5'8" | S La Crosse | 2023 State WI – 2023 – Setter – La Crosse Central (WI) – SMV 17-1 Black
Veenendall moves smoothly off the net to get her hands on everything. She has really great placement and keeps her contact high and quick. Veenendall has good control and works really well against the flow.

Addison Schreurs – 2024 – Setter – Spanish Springs (NV) – Northern Nevada Juniors
Schreurs caught my attention with some really well-timed setter dumps that I didn’t even see coming. She did a great job handling the tight passes, as well as worked really well off of the net. Schreurs also stuck out with her strong communication skills and her ability to adapt to new hitters and work with them to get them the best possible set.

Briana Smith – 2023 – Setter – James Clemens (AL) – NASA
Smith has a nice quick release on the ball. She has really clean hands and knows how to give her attackers a ton of opportunities. Smith is a very attentive setter, always knew where the ball was, and had control and accuracy with her set choice.
