<p>Junior right side hitters produced for teams across the 12th Region during the 2021 high school volleyball season.</p>
<p>A look at five 2023 12th Region right side hitters to watch follows.</p>
<p><strong>Addison Fowler</strong> is a junior right side hitter/outside hitter from Boyle County High School. Fowler is able to hit consistently from either side of the net. Agile, Fowler adjusts well to sets coming from any location and works well with the middle blocker on blocks. </p>
<p><strong>Riley Griffin</strong> is an opposite hitter/defensive specialist from Lincoln County High School. Griffin is poised to take on a larger role for her team during the 2022 high school volleyball season. Versatile, Griffin possesses solid jumping skills and can deliver as a back row hitter. </p>
<p><strong>Sara Gdovka</strong> is a junior right side hitter from West Jessamine High School. Gdovka excels on both offense and defense regularly. The West Jessamine junior has displayed the ability to set in addition to providing explosiveness at the net. </p>
<p><strong>Addy Rice</strong> is a junior opposite hitter from Wayne County High School. Rice can hit from both the front row and the back row regularly. A player with a solid all-around skill set, Rice blocks well, both individually and with the middle blocker. </p>
<p><strong>Areli Vela-Alvarez</strong> is a junior right side hitter/outside hitter/defensive specialist from Somerset High School. Vela-Alvarez, who is among the most versatile players in the 12th Region, provides quickness and athleticism. Able to thrive as a hitter from either side of the net, Vela-Alvarez can produce in the role of a passer. </p>
