New High Level 2023s Emerge During Prep Dig Circuit
The Prep Dig Circuit has been a new concept to club volleyball this year with teams who have played in at least three Prep Dig Events becoming members of the circuit. Seeing these teams multiple times has given Prep Dig Scouts an up view of athletes and their progression over the season. For Seniors, they are looking to wrap up the recruiting process, where Juniors are in the trenches of recruiting and sorting out what they want their future to look like at the next level. Here are 2023’s who have really shown a strong presence in the 2022 Prep Dig Circuit.
Alexandra Kreutzmann Alexandra Kreutzmann 5'9" | S Hamilton | 2023 State WI – FC Elite 17 Navy
Prior to this season, I had not seen Kreutzmann play a whole lot. This club season, Kreutzmann has shown she can run the show where she can get her hands on the ball in a scramble situation and make things happen for her team. There is a strong chemistry among this FC Elite 17 Navy squad and Kreutzmann was a really welcome addition to this team. With her length and athleticism, she would be a really solid pick up at the next level. She preps at Sussex Hamilton who will be a power this fall.
Lauren Grier Lauren Grier 5'10" | MB Fond du Lac | 2023 State WI – Impact 17 National
Grier is another athlete who has popped up on the radar with impressive performances over the course of the season. The middle blocker from Fond du Lac has an explosive style of play where she is very active on the net. When she comes to the front row, she has a major presence with her block and scoring potential. If given the opportunity to attack off one foot, she can be lethal when swinging off the slide.
Samantha Perlberg Samantha Perlberg 5'10" | OH Chippewa Falls | 2023 State WI – Wisconsin Ice 17 National
Perlberg has had a big past year where she has burst onto the scene from the Class of 2023 among outside hitters. She has the six rotation skills where she can serve receive, pass, and terminate. This has been a really solid 17 National squad where there are next level players who are strong athletes. Another outside hitter in Emily Brenner Emily Brenner 5'10" | OH Stanley-Boyd | 2023 State WI who is coming back from an injury has been a big time player as well this winter.
Grace McDole Grace McDole 5'9" | OH Kiel | 2023 State WI – FC Elite 17 White
McDole is an electric six rotation outside hitter. She could see time at the next level as a six rotation outside or as a DS/libero. Her versatility is something that is her biggest asset to her game. This 17 White squad has surprised the field this year where they have beaten some big teams and have punched a ticket to nationals. McDole has been a big part of that success and will have plenty of looks heading into the summer.
Gracie Tallier Gracie Tallier 5'7" | DS/L Gilman | 2023 State WI – Wisconsin Ice 17 National
Tallier has shown that she has the skill and athleticism to command the backrow. She is a small town kid with a whole lot of grit where she can add that edge to a team who needs that scrappiness. She has been a top performer for the Prep Dig Circuit and is someone who is building a strong campaign for a big senior season at Gilman.
Evinae Jordee Evinae Jordee 5'9" | S Middleton | 2023 State WI – Capital 17 Adidas
Jordee has been a solid combo as a setter with Andi Spies Andi Spies 5'10" | S Fort Atkinson | 2024 State #135 Nation WI where the two have split duties for Capital 17 Adidas, one of the top teams in the circuit. Jordee has joined up with high school teammates in Jordan LaScala Jordan LaScala 6'0" | OH Middleton | 2023 State WI and Sierra Pertzborn Sierra Pertzborn 6'3" | MB Middleton | 2023 State WI where they are building a lot of momentum as to what could be a big season for Middleton in 2022. Jordee is a lefty that can be crafty when needed offensively as well as defend her position as well.
Skye McDermott Skye McDermott 5'10" | S Evansville | 2023 State WI to Samantha Johnston Samantha Johnston 5'9" | MB Edgerton | 2023 WI – @CapitalVbAll – BOOM 💥 #battleatthebay pic.twitter.com/34uTNmA6hd

Samantha Johnston Samantha Johnston 5'9" | MB Edgerton | 2023 WI – Capital 17 Navy
Johnston is another explosive middle in the circuit where she can attack off of a quick tempo and has really good hand contact. I was fortunate enough to get a solid highlight with her and Skye McDermott Skye McDermott 5'10" | S Evansville | 2023 State WI connecting out of the middle at Battle at the Bay. Her athleticism allows her to do a lot of dynamic things along the front line which has been huge for her team.
Bridget Moen Bridget Moen 5'9" | OH Hortonville | 2023 AZ – Impact 18 National
Moen is long and athletic where she can play on either pin. She’s been playing up on 18 National along with other strong 2023 prospects in Maya Wegand Maya Wegand 5'7" | OH Little Chute | 2023 State WI who can swing on the outside or play libero and Olivia Daane Olivia Daane 5'10" | MB Green Bay Southwest | 2023 State WI who can play middle or right side. Moen can score points and provide a big block. She preps at Hortonville where she will make a big time combo with another top 2023 prospect in Molly Rohde Molly Rohde 5'11" | MB Hortonville | 2023 State WI who is the FC Elite 17 Navy middle blocker.
Maddison Berger Maddison Berger 5'11" | OH Waukesha South | 2023 State WI – MKE Sting 18 Silver
Berger is another 2023 playing up on an 18s team where MKE Sting 18 Silver won the Champions Cup in February and had a strong showing at Battle at the Bay. Berger is a really strong and athletic point scorer where she has a heavy swing from the outside. She can also serve receive and pass where she is involved in virtually every play. A little under the radar, but could be a big time pick up at the next level.
