Courtney O’Brien Courtney O’Brien 5'10" | OH Cinco Ranch | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-10 Outside (HS: Cinco Ranch/Club: Houston Skyline/ Verbal: Texas Tech)
Courtney is currently the 59th top ranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We previously wrote about her in an article last year where we introduced her in the State Rankings. In the article we wrote, “Miss O’Brien is a six rotation left side pin hitter from the west side of the Houston/Katy Area. She is also very skilled as a right side attacker as well. It doesn’t matter where you place her, as she is deadly with her offense. She understands how to attack off of a block for a deflection and with her raw power, it is almost always a kill. She plays for a fantastic club in Houston Skyline. Her arm length is what stands out and she attacks the ball at the very peak of that reach which helps her offensive efficiency as her opponents have a hard time stopping it from scoring. She is part of the 15 Open National Champion club team at Skyline and has also been named as one of the AVCA Phenom Watch List members. We will keep her on our radar moving forward.” We are proud to announce that Court has decided where she will play her college ball. She will play division one college ball at Texas Tech University. She will for sure be an impact player for their program from the moment she steps foot on campus. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Madison Morgan [2022] 6-3 Right Side/Middle (HS: Bellville/Club: Houston Juniors /Verbal: Florida International University)
Madison is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig rankings. She plays for Bellville High School and also for Houston Juniors volleyball club. She is a very lengthy right side/middle who can play well above the net. Her power and reach are two components of her game that truly stand out as we watched her this season. When she contacts the ball at the peak of her touch, it makes it very difficult for opposing blockers to slow her down. She has starred for her high school quad and been named district MVP, Region MVP and made a list of other all-star teams from news and coaching publications in the state. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at Florida International University. She will give her college team some much needed height and firepower when she arrives on campus. She will be an impact player from the moment she steps foot on campus. Please help us congratulate Miss Morgan on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Reagan Fifer Reagan Fifer 6'2" | S Liberty Christian | 2023 State TX [2023] 6-0 Setter/Right Side (HS: Liberty Christian/Club: Tejas/Verbal: University of Houston)
Reagan is currently listed as the 65th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a lengthy setter and right side out of the north Texas area. We profiled her this year and stated the following in a previous article, “The ball comes out of her hands well and she is able to locate with accuracy on all sets along the net. She is being taught very well to jump set and that will help as she progresses at the setting position. Since she plays front row as a hitter/blocker also, it definitely helps her stock in our rankings. Reagan is a very capable offensive player on the right side as she is a lefty who hits at the peak of her reach. She will only get stronger as she gains muscle and grows into her frame. We will be watching her progress very closely. She has excelled on the court at Liberty Christian and has them primed for a run at the State Title. She has her high school team sitting at an overall 37-9 record and a district record of 5-0. What is incredibly impressive is that she currently has 1,078 assists, which is good enough to be the 4th most in the entire state, which includes other juniors in public and private schools across Texas. Reagan is a gifted volleyball player who has earned the right to be nominated for All-State consideration.” We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at the University of Houston.
