Impact 18-National – 2nd in 18 Club Division
Wisconsin Elite 18 Elite – 3rd in 18 Club Division
Capital 17 Adidas – 3rd in 17 Open Division
Capital had a very successful run at the World Challenge. They battled through some TOUGH three-set thrillers and came out on top every time. Their first loss of the weekend was in the semi-final match. Andi Spies Andi Spies 5'10" | S Fort Atkinson | 2024 State #135 Nation WI (Setter, 2024) ran the court like a well-oiled machine. She is smart, savvy, and aggressive with her decisions. Amelia Albers Amelia Albers 5'5" | DS/L Stoughton | 2023 State WI (Libero, 2023) was scrappy and gritty in the back row. She was reliable in the toughest matches. Sierra Pertzborn Sierra Pertzborn 6'3" | MB Middleton | 2023 State WI (Right Side, 2023) was highly impactful as a blocker on the right side and was a force on offense as well. Middle blockers Lauren Adams (2023) and Addison Schmotzer Addison Schmotzer 6'2" | MB Edgewood | 2023 State WI (2023, Committed to St. Thomas) were aggressive at the net and earned a lot of points.
Impact 17 National – 1st in 17 Club Division
This team did not drop a single set the entire tournament. They did have some tough fights though including a 31-29 win over Platform 17 Adidas. Impact was consistent throughout the weekend. Alivia Jeanquart Alivia Jeanquart 5'7" | S Notre Dame Academy | 2023 State WI (Setter, 2023) was key in running the offense. She is quick and has a fast release on the ball which outpaces a lot of blockers. Lauren Grier Lauren Grier 5'10" | MB Fond du Lac | 2023 State WI (Middle Blocker, 2023) has had a breakout season this year and continued to impress from start to finish. Samantha Kempinger Samantha Kempinger 5'10" | OH Fox Valley Lutheran | 2023 State WI (Outside, 2023) executed in all six rotations and had a very impactful serve. Libero Ella Rosner Ella Rosner 5'6" | DS/L Kimberly | 2023 State WI (2023) was consistent in the back row. She was key on defense and serve receive for this championship run.
1W Point 17 Mizuno – 3rd in 17 Club Division
1W had to fight HARD for this medal, and they deserved it. They won several tight battles throughout the weekend against some very solid teams. This team has grit and determination and it showed. Middle blocker Emma Barton (2023) was a key player on this team. She was explosive and aggressive at the net. Elise Uphoff Elise Uphoff 5'4" | DS/L Marshfield | 2023 State WI (Libero, 2023) was incredibly scrappy and threw herself across the court to keep balls alive. Caitlyn Pernsteiner Caitlyn Pernsteiner 6'0" | OH Marshfield | 2023 State WI (Outside Hitter, 2023) was a reliable force and go-to hitter for this team.
MVP 16 Blue – 3rd in 16 Premier Division
This MVP team has an incredible amount of energy and passion on the court. They are fun to watch and played incredibly tough and gritty throughout the weekend. They beat Kokoro 27-25 and 30-28 to head to the semifinal in the tournament. The pins on this team were very impressive. Abby Bauer Abby Bauer 5'8" | OH Kettle Moraine | 2024 State WI (Outside Hitter, 2024) was an energizer on the court. She was scrappy on defense and earned points with her serve. Addison Leffler Addison Leffler OH DSHA | 2024 State WI (Outside Hitter, 2024) was consistent at manufacturing points, utilizing a mix of shots and power to earn kills. Sidney Doble Sidney Doble OH Oconomowoc | 2024 State WI (Outside Hitter, 2024) was super smart and knew when to turn on the heat and when to find a hole on the court. Setters Ava Kharitou Ava Kharitou 5'8" | S DSHA | 2024 State WI (2024) and Brylee Leverenz Brylee Leverenz 5'10" | S Waukesha West | 2024 State WI (2024) both were consistent across the board and libero Navaeh Keller Navaeh Keller DS/L Oconomowoc | 2024 State WI (2024) played at an incredibly high level.
FC Elite 16 Navy – 3rd in 16 Open
FC Elite 16 Navy plays a clean and crisp game. They run a fast offense and this team is made up of gritty athletes who can execute in even the toughest situations. Olivia Baierl Olivia Baierl 5'8" | DS/L Howards Grove | 2024 State WI (Libero, 2024) has a high volleyball IQ and makes big plays in the back row. Outside hitter Annalise Patchett Annalise Patchett 6'0" | OH Fox Valley Lutheran | 2024 State WI (2024) is a force to be reckoned with in the front and back row. She is powerful, consistent, and smart. Setters Emerson Van Lannen Emerson Van Lannen 5'10" | S Appleton North | 2024 State #144 Nation WI (2024) and Kamryn Kaminski Kamryn Kaminski 5'7" | S Howards Grove | 2024 State WI (2024) are huge leaders on this team and move the ball around with a lot of experience.
Epic 16 Black – 3rd in 16 Classic
RVA G15 Navy – 3rd in 15 Premier
This RVA team has been dominant for several years. They have a lot of chemistry on the court as a team and a lot of individual talent as well. Libero Megan Johnson (2025) has crisp, clean form. She moves efficiently across the court and has great angles on serve receive. Kaylen DiBrito Kaylen DiBrito OH Pewaukee | 2025 State WI (2025) is a six-rotation outside who gets great touches on defense and is smart on offense. Megan McDowell (Middle, 2025) is explosive and an energizer on the court. Setters Keira Robidoux (2025) and Lucia Brown (2025) keep the offense running smoothly.
FC Elite 15 Navy – 3rd in 15 Open
This team is gritty and fast. They aren’t afraid to take risks and it shows in their play. Setters Alexa Hernandez Alexa Hernandez 5'7" | S Green Bay Southwest | 2025 State WI (2025) and Madison Tripp Madison Tripp 5'9" | S Kaukauna | 2025 State WI (2025) both run a fast-tempo offense and get their hands on nearly every ball. Eva Wall-Perkins Eva Wall-Perkins 5'9" | MB Freedom | 2025 State WI (Middle Blocker, 2025) is aggressive and clean at the net. She does not make a lot of errors but does earn a lot of points. Campbell Onell Campbell Onell 5'10" | RS Luxemburg-Casco | 2025 State WI (Middle/Right Side, 2025) can play across the net and has massive amounts of power. Right-side hitter Ava Reis Ava Reis 5'9" | OH Kimberly | 2025 State WI (2025) is highly impactful in the front row. I was also impressed with pin hitter Annika Kowalski Annika Kowalski 5'9" | OH Xavier | 2025 State WI (2025) throughout the weekend.
1W Point 15 Momentum – 2nd in 15 Classic
This team is very strong in third games. They went to a third game six different times over the course of the weekend and won every one except the championship. Zaida Kolbeck (Libero, 2025) impressed with her scrappiness on the court. Samya Hughes (Outside Hitter, 2025) played all six rotations and was impressive in all of them. She has a huge vertical and was a key player this weekend. Setter Kailyn Kurth (2025) was consistent and level-headed with her decisions. Middle blocker Lauren Homolka (2025) and pin hitter Gracie Wilczek (2025) also impressed!
