River Falls

The Cats are back at the Prep Dig Sizzle and are bringing a Senior dominated lineup led by All State setter [player_tooltip player_id="92019" first="Morgan" last="Kealy"]. Kealy is one of the top available setters in Wisconsin and was extremely key in the road back to the state tournament for RF. A 2023 prospect who would be a big pick up at the next level is libero [player_tooltip player_id="92023" first="Abi" last="Banitt"]. Bannit has provided a great spark for Kokoro 17-1 out of St. Paul where many of these athletes play club. They will look to make a return trip, but have conference rival and fellow Prep Dig Sizzle squad, Chippewa Falls in their section.

Catholic Memorial

The Crusaders are coming up to Appleton with big goals this fall of getting back to the Resch Center. They will compete in a rigorous sectional that includes the likes of Wisconsin Lutheran, Kettle Moraine Lutheran, and Pewaukee. However, this team is accustomed to a regular season that is packed with talented squads. They will lead with [player_tooltip player_id="91906" first="Elena" last="Dragani"], a Wake Forest commit, and one of the top available 2023s in [player_tooltip player_id="61787" first="Emily" last="Clausen"], a dynamic attacker from any front row position.

Luxemburg-Casco

The three time defending state champions will be back at the Sizzle where they have had some classic battles with other top teams that include Howards Grove, Edgewood, and Kettle Moraine Lutheran. They will return All State middle blocker, [player_tooltip player_id="82915" first="Autumn" last="Flynn"], and outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id="91907" first="Kylie" last="Hanson"] who were key in their quest for a third straight gold ball. Another key player for the Spartans will be libero, Brooke Vande Hei.

Pewaukee

Pewaukee got their taste of the state tournament last year and will be looking for more as they return a really athletic bunch in 2022. They will return two big time attackers in Dani Kopacz and [player_tooltip player_id="178329" first="Kaylen" last="DiBrito"]. The two combined for five kills per set in 2021.

Westosha Central

The Falcons are back in Appleton for the Sizzle after competing in 2020. They return an extremely dynamic lineup that will be led by Senior setter, [player_tooltip player_id="119417" first="Sydney" last="Selburg"]. Selburg is uber athletic and left handed where she can put her attackers in position to score and can even find the open spot on the court herself. They also return two pin attackers in Karis Bridleman and Lindsay Piktel.

Freedom

Freedom will take the ten minute drive to the Champion Center in Appleton and be a local favorite. The Irish scored a big upset in the postseason last year, defeating Xavier in the regional tournament. This team will have [player_tooltip player_id="91894" first="Rachel" last="Koss"], a 2023 uncommitted setter running the show and she will be looking to connect with athletic middles in [player_tooltip player_id="82906" first="Sydney" last="Bartels"] and Eva Wall. Wall was only a freshman last season when she led the Irish in hitting efficiency. The Irish also return libero [player_tooltip player_id="91926" first="Elayna" last="Christensen"].

Sauk Prairie

Sauk Prairie was one match short of the state tournament in 2021 where they were defeated by another Sizzle squad in McFarland. This program has risen to a new level and has plenty of returners coming back who will be big time contributors this fall. [player_tooltip player_id="158572" first="Maggie" last="Hartwig"], [player_tooltip player_id="91940" first="Annika" last="Braund"], and Alexis Klemm combined for over 500 kills in 2021. The Eagles also return setter, [player_tooltip player_id="119403" first="Jenna" last="Pistono"] who can do a little bit of everything, the soon to be Senior has plenty of big game experience and will be a key leader.
