With GJNCs set for Indianapolis just over a month from now, there are 14 teams from the state of Indiana that will represent the Hoosier State well in their respective divisions. On each team in this series, there are quite a few kids that are still available to play at the next level. Today, we talk about the most accomplished of those, Circle’s 17-1.

RECENT COMMITS

Congratulations go out to the four most recent commitments for this squad, in no particular order:

’23, [player_tooltip player_id="85897" first="Emily" last="Waddell"], 6-0 MB, Carmel, Ohio commit

’23, [player_tooltip player_id="85932" first="Ava" last="Smith"], 6-1 OH, Park Tudor, Florida Gulf Coast commit

’23, [player_tooltip player_id="85924" first="Ella" last="Hemmings"], 5-7 DS/L, Brownsburg, LSU commit

’23, [player_tooltip player_id="106295" first="Ella" last="Chapman"], 6-3 MB, Greensburg, Florida Gulf Coast commit

THE UNCOMMITTED

On a team that has triple-qualified for the 17 open division this year, there are still solid recruits available to play somewhere in the fall of ’23 (and ’24). Showing out by winning the Northeast Qualifier and finishing 2nd in both the Mideast Qualifier and the Windy City Qualifier, these three have very consistently provided a massive amount of support in high-pressure matches all season long. [player_tooltip player_id="85912" first="Macy" last="Bruton"] (’23, 5-10 DS/OH, Crawfordsville) spends her time as a three-rotation DS and serving sub in club, but is a six-rotation, primary-passing outside for her high school team. Larger schools can use her as a defender and serving sub, while smaller schools will use her for her fresh shoulder and terminal abilities. [player_tooltip player_id="110509" first="Macy" last="Hinshaw"] (’24, 5-9 S, Hamilton Southeastern) is the quarterback of this crew, and has always played up a year in club as far back as I can remember. Her hands are high and quick, she’s very deceptive, offensive when needed, and already runs a faster-than-normal offense to keep teams constantly guessing. Although she is from the class of 2024, I am amazed that she has yet to receive the level of attention that other setters in her class have already garnered. Finally, [player_tooltip player_id="85900" first="Faith" last="Burch"] (’23, 5-10 S/RS, Roncalli) is a hybrid of a player. She can run a modified 6-2 (hitting in the front row and setting in the back), be a full-time right side, or be a full-time setter. Her jumping ability and athleticism has her playing with the best of the best year-in and year-out, and it’s just a matter of time before someone takes notice.
