The Class of 2023 is filled with some really talented outside hitters.

We have already seen some land commitments to strong Division 1 programs.

As the 2022 fall season now approaches, here’s a look at five uncommitted outsides that need to get scooped up soon by college programs.

[player_tooltip player_id="66314" first="Kennedy" last="Louisell"], Forest Hills Northern/FaR Out

Louisell is really a complete package. She’s taken her game to another level in the last year and definitely can big a big asset for a college program. Louisell moves around the court smoothly, has a strong defensive game, and can dial up the velocity on her attacks as much as anyone. She plays with a lot of intensity and is capable of shouldering a lot of the workload.

[player_tooltip player_id="66316" first="Remi" last="Madison"], Grand Blanc/Michigan Elite

Madison is of a similar style to Louisell, where she just is really solid all around, but when she connects at the net, everyone notices. Madison has a great vertical to play high above the net, but she also has a quick first step to get to a spot and make a play defensively. She has worked hard to get to the next level, and is clearly a college-level talent.

[player_tooltip player_id="66292" first="Rebecca" last="Apsey"], Groves

Apsey has been a standout right side in previous club seasons and transitioned that into being a go-to hitter for Groves. She’s got a calm presence on the floor, but has the engine to go toe-to-toe with other great hitters over multiple sets. Apsey has improved her defensive aspects and has a chance to really breakout this fall as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id="66299" first="Sarah" last="Dunn"], Forest Hills Northern/FaR Out

Dunn is another standout outside on the west side of the state. She’s got good length and pairs it with athleticism to be a complete hitter. Dunn has a nice mix of shots and is able to recognize the openings in the defense quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id="66324" first="Shelby" last="Porter"], Kenowa Hills/MVA

Porter is a 6-foot pin hitter that plays much longer. She’s able to use her long reach to get to a lot of out-of-system balls and still put a lot of speed on her swing. Porter moves well across the net and is a real blocking force that can continue to hone her defensive skills at the college level.
