Two national champions highlight the 2025 stock rising outsides and some up-and-coming players.

[player_tooltip player_id="174403" first="Zoe" last="Baliva"] - 6'1” – St. Joseph's Academy/HPSTL 15 Royal

The long and powerful outside should get more swings this year with the Angels. Playing on either pin, Baliva can be a shut-down blocker on the right or a terminator on the outside with a mean line shot.

[player_tooltip player_id="153929" first="Maya" last="Witherspoon"] - 5'11” – Lafayette/[program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder'] 15 Elite

One of my favorite players last year to watch has continued in club season and helped 15 Elite to a national title. Witherspoon played middle at the powerhouse Lafayette and hit outside for Rockwood. The bouncy hitter with an extremely high volleyball IQ can play anywhere on the court and will be a top recruit for the 2025 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="168035" first="Reagan" last="Nelson"] – 5'10” – Pattonville/[program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder'] 15 Elite

After a great sophomore year at Pattonville, the six rotations outside with tremendous hitting range and high volleyball IQ will move up the rankings after leading Rockwood 15 Elite to a national title. Keep an eye on this one as the offers start to roll in.

[player_tooltip player_id="207297" first="Riley" last="Rondot"] - 5'7” – Borgia/Show Me Volleyball Academy

Borgia had a stacked senior class last year, so Rondot was playing for the JV. This year she should move up to varsity and hit outside for the Knights or could turn into a libero—smart and steady six rotation outside with plenty of upsides to her game.

[player_tooltip player_id="174404" first="Hannah" last="Taylor"] - 5'9” – Clayton/HPSTL 15

Couple more years of experience, Hannah will be a force on the outside. She plays six rotations and is a steady passer and defender. She's developing into a solid outlet on the outside and has a nice back-row attack.

[player_tooltip player_id="207270" first="Alivia" last="Steele"] - 5'7” – Ft. Zumwalt South/Rockwood 15 Navy

Six rotation outside hitter for Rockwood 15 Navy can put the ball down on either pin. A solid defender and passer who finished in the top three for kills for South last year and look for Alivia to be a bigger offensive threat this season.
