Taryn Doiron – Bridge City – Senior
One of our 4A additions is Bridge City senior Taryn Doiron. Last season Taryn was a part of one of the best volleyball teams in Bridge City’s history. While their district was not tough, Bridge City played a lot of really good teams in the pre-season and got a whole lot better because of it. They finished the season 39-6 and went three rounds deep in the playoffs eventually losing to Huffman. Taryn ran a 5-1 for Bridge City and has been getting better in the offseason, attending camps and playing club. If Bridge City wants to repeat a successful season, Taryn will be one of the key pieces.
Lauren Greene – Lake Creek – Senior
Lauren Green is absolutely one of the premier setters in all of 5A in the state of Texas. She has been setting for Lake Creek since her freshman year. Since then, she has totaled over 2,000 assists. Not only is she really good at setting, but her volleyball IQ is incredibly strong. Her fast paced tempo sets the offense for Lake Creek, and contributes to their success.
