This is a very prestigious tournament in which teams actually had to earn their bid to play in it. The qualification process is super tough throughout the year and the best of the best rose to the top. Prep Dig was on hand to cover every serve, set, kill, and pass of the ball from start to finish. This next article is going to discuss the 15 Open Division Bronze Medalists…Drive Nation 15 Red.
The tournament field was super stacked with thirty-six of the best teams in the nation. Eight of those teams were from the great state of Texas. Drive Nation 15 Red went into the tournament ranked as the 18th overall seed. They had a tough day one and two as they came out fourth in their opening pool. It was just enough to stay in contention for the Gold bracket. They split their next two matches in the second round to reach a challenge match to get to Gold. This pitted them against the third ranked Game Point club out of Orlando, FL. Drive came out with guns blazing and won in decisive fashion (25-16, 25-14) to reach the top eight Gold Bracket.
This is what everyone comes to play for. The ability to reach the Gold bracket and have a chance to win the tournament. For Drive Nation 15 Red, they are no stranger to success and have the roster that is filled with talented players. Their first round matchup was with Houston Skyline 15 Royal. They were in the first round pool together and Houston won the initial matchup in convincing fashion. Drive was “seeing red” as they came into this matchup and battled to a three set victory (25-21, 15-25, 15-9). Their next matchup was with the eventual champions Alamo. Drive again showed that they were ready to battle and fell to Alamo in three hard fought sets (23-25, 25-18, 8-15).
Although all of the players stood out for a variety of reasons, let’s meet a few of the players that stood out to me while I watched them be crowned the third best 15’s team in the nation.
Hannah Beauford Hannah Beauford 5'11" | S Prosper | 2025 State #99 Nation TX [2025] 5-11 Setter (HS: Prosper/Club: Drive Nation/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Hannah is currently ranked as the 27th best overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at the juggernaut Prosper high school and also for the Drive Nation volleyball club. I just wrote a small article on her after she attended the pre tournament showcase and here is what I wrote about her, “This young lady was dishing some amazing dimes all over the courts in the showcase. Multiple coaches wrote down her number as a standout during both individual position drills and team play. She is super strong and there is not a set she cannot make look so easy. She definitely stood out to all of us!” After watching her in person at the showcase, I was super excited to watch her team perform because she looked like she was on a mission. After four days of this young lady moving the ball around to her wonderful hitters, they were putting a medal around her neck. Her stock is definitely rising and she should be moving up the rankings when I update them in a few weeks.
Lauryn Mack Lauryn Mack 5'11" | OH Aledo | 2025 State #111 Nation TX [2025] 5-10 Outside (HS: All Saints Episcopal/Club: Drive Nation/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Lauryn is currently ranked as the 19th best overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. Miss Mack plays at All Saints Episcopal High School and also club for the Drive Nation volleyball program. This young lady was a beast on the court over the four days of competition. There were times where she was unstoppable at the net. It was like her arm swing kept getting faster as the competition got better. She has that famous Kobe Bryant “Mamba Mentality” in which she loves the competition. That is what I see when I watch her dominate on the volleyball court. There are moments in every match when Lauryn takes over and no one is going to stop her from scoring for her squad. We are very proud of her production during nationals and receiving the bronze medal.
Keirstyn Carlton Keirstyn Carlton 6'2" | MB Stephenville | 2025 State TX [2025] 6-2 Middle (HS: Stephenville/Club: Drive Nation/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Keirstyn is currently ranked as the 25th best overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. Miss Carlton plays at Stephenville High School and also club for the Drive Nation volleyball program. She is so much more than a middle as her versatility is on full display during the high school season as she delivers for her squad on the left side as well. You can see her athleticism during both blocking and transition. She is super fast laterally and has impeccable timing to seal the net from opposing hitters. I like how she uses her upper body to find the ball and press on the net. She was so special during Drive’s awesome run in the Gold bracket that USA Volleyball named her to the 15 Open all Tournament team. Please help us congratulate her on the special honor.
