With the 2022 HS season officially started, that also means some of the biggest stars of the past few years will begin their college careers with the inception of the 2022 NCAA season.

The 2022 class in Michigan boasted one of the best graduating classes in recent history. Regardless of division, Michigan produced some game changers that made history with their high school teams and will go on to lead programs like NC State, Michigan State, etc.

Here are some of the best from the 2022 class that we'll miss in the high school scene this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='24846' first='Ava' last='Brizard'] - Marian/North Carolina State

Miss Volleyball herself, [player_tooltip player_id='24846' first='Ava' last='Brizard'], capped off an illustrious prep career with a repeat state title. At 6'1, Brizard is the complete package on the court. Her offense is top notch and her passing is quite solid. Her game will move to NC State where she'll play under an Olympic Gold Medalist, Luka Slabe. I predict Brizard to make a huge impact with the Wolfpack.

[player_tooltip player_id='24871' first='Maradith' last='O'Gorman'] - Lakewood Odessa/Michigan State

An absolute powerhouse, the O'Gorman name has been at the forefront of the conversation for quite sometime now. In her last season, [player_tooltip player_id='24871' first='Maradith' last='O'Gorman'] was the lone wolf of the sister 1-2 punch, and she delivered greatly. Not only did she lead Lakewood to another semifinal post season, but she was the AAU MVP in leading FaR Out to a national championship. O'Gorman will for sure make a big impact in the new era for Michigan State volleyball.

[player_tooltip player_id='24844' first='Alyssa' last='Borellis'] - Notre Dame Prep/Ole Miss

No one had a bigger 2021 high school season than [player_tooltip player_id='24844' first='Alyssa' last='Borellis'], even an injury to her hands couldn't slow her down. Borellis has been at the forefront of this powerhouse program all four years of her career and it is going to get some taking use to to not see her in the green. Borellis takes her winning ways though to a program in a new era under another Olympic Medalist, Kayla Banwarth.

[player_tooltip player_id='24842' first='Josie' last='Bloom'] - Notre Dame Prep/Virginia Tech

She may have only donned the off-colored jersey for a single season, but man, did she wear it well. Noted as one of the top defenders and receivers in the state, across all divisions, [player_tooltip player_id='24842' first='Josie' last='Bloom'] was critical in the success of the Irish this past season. She walks into a conference (ACC) that is on the rise as of late. With recruits like this, its no doubt that the ACC will continue to strengthen.

[player_tooltip player_id='24853' first='Evelyn' last='Doezema'] - Grand Rapids Christian/Michigan State

Another Spartan on this list, [player_tooltip player_id='24853' first='Evelyn' last='Doezema'] is another name that has become a household name over her four years in the MHSAA. And we have seen her play her fair share of roles, going in and out of the middle, to just an offensive bomb on the left side, to a complete six rotation threat. Doezema joins post-season rival O'Gorman as a Sparty and between the two, Michigan State has a dangerous combination.

[player_tooltip player_id='24870' first='Serena' last='Nyambio'] - Detroit Country Day/Michigan

If you've ever heard of the name of Inky Ajanaku, a Stanford legend, then you've seen the potential that this player has. I compare Ajanaku to [player_tooltip player_id='24870' first='Serena' last='Nyambio'] because of the great similarities the two have when they play. Crazy athleticism, the arm swing, the insane blocking and not to mention, that slide. Nyambio will be in the Maize and Blue this season and will add some much needed depth to the Wolverine roster, if she doesn't end up starting.

[player_tooltip player_id='24843' first='Cari' last='Bohm'] - Ann Arbor Skyline/Illinois

Another big middle blocker joining the big ten, [player_tooltip player_id='24843' first='Cari' last='Bohm'] will be a Fighting Illini. A part of the big 1-2 punch for Skyline that marched all the way to a Division 1 championship, she could be just a huge for the Illini as she was for the Eagles. Last season saw the Illini cause a huge upset early in the tournament and with a recruit like Bohm, I can easily see this happening again.

[player_tooltip player_id='172182' first='Maddi' last='Osantowski'] - Reese/Cornerstone

Arguably one of the biggest names from last season was that of [player_tooltip player_id='172182' first='Maddi' last='Osantowski'] out of Reese. Predicted to drop out at districts, Osantowski and the Rockets marched to the title, upset by upset. Osantowski not only makes history with the Division 3 title, but she is now one of the top scorers in a championship game. I predict Osantowski will continue her winning ways at Cornerstone.

[player_tooltip player_id='24854' first='Brooke' last='Dzwik'] - Battle Creek St. Phil/Michigan Tech

Another highlight from the MHSAA title games, there was no defending [player_tooltip player_id='24854' first='Brooke' last='Dzwik'] in the Division 4 tournament. Put however many bodies you wanted on the court, and she would have found a way to the court. A part of the legacy program that is St. Phil, she joins a long list of big names and will join another perennial power with Michigan Tech.

[player_tooltip player_id='24839' first='Carlina' last='Bender'] - Hudsonville/Eastern Michigan

Another big name from last year's final four, [player_tooltip player_id='24839' first='Carlina' last='Bender'] hasn't lost her winning ways. Alongside O'Gorman, Bender won an AAU National Championship with FaR Out this past June, shortly after announcing her commitment to the Eastern Michigan Eagles. As Eastern looks to get back to their winning way in the MAC, a pick up like Bender was a great place to start.
