Here at PrepDig, we are committed to covering and promoting as many prospects as possible, from the most popular names to the hidden gems that typically abound at the Lone Star State and during the high school season we’re also doing it by featuring the teams they play at.
Every time we’re at the gym, we take the time to give a good look at the teams on the court and we’ll try to feature as many as possible here in this space. Today we’re going to highlight the Fulshear Chargers.
The Squad
Most teams that lost players of the caliber of Brielle Warren and Ava Underwood at the end of a season, would probably have to lower their expectations heading to the next one. That’s not the case with the Chargers, though, as they have exceptional young talent such as Bailey Warren Bailey Warren 5'10" | OH Fulshear | 2025 State #94 Nation TX and Sydney Black Sydney Black 5'6" | DS/L Fulshear | 2025 State #95 Nation TX ready to step and keep the team’s playing level extremely high.
Key Players
The high-flying outside hitter is now the team’s undisputed go-to scoring option and seems just comfortable in the role. Warren is an exceptional offensive player, combining size, athleticism, power and excellent technical skills. She seems to be only getting better at the net, as despite displaying some shots she apparently didn’t have last season, she’s also been more consistent and better with her decision-making.
If Warren’s development at the net has been noticeable, the same can be said about Black’s game on the backcourt. She was Fulshear’s starting libero last year as a freshman and one full high school season and another at the club level made of her a much better player. Black has always been technically solid but has made progress on the mental side of the game, playing with more confidence and consistency. She’s always displayed some improvement in minor things, such as setting in transition.
Alexys James
Alexys James
A transfer from Jordan, the 5’10” arrived to provide talent in a position of need for the Chargers. She’s a very skilled setter who has the added bonus of being an equally productive hitter. James does a good job with the ball in her hands and is also very good on offense. She jumps well, has good power on her right arm and an excellent repertoire of shots. She’s also a very technical and intelligent blocker.
Rachel Nordt
Rachel Nordt
Nordt is a middle that will deliver exactly what you expect from her. A six-footer, she has a good presence at the net and does an excellent job with her blocking as she is extremely mobile and technical with her actions. Her offense is also impressively efficient and consistent. Nordt is a very skilled player, who can play passing as well, and is always connected to the game, recovering balls by covering her hitters and reacting well to overpasses.
Yosola Adeleke
Yosola Adeleke
Adeleke’s game is still a little bit raw in certain aspects, but we’d like to highlight her because of her tremendous potential. She has a good size, is very long and is an excellent jumper. Her offense is still coming together, but she’s already a tough player to face because of her impressive reach and power. Blocking is possibly the best part of her game now as, besides size and length, she also has great timing. Adeleke can also play in the middle.
