Guilherme Torres | Prep Dig Scout
Fulshear’s scoring machine had a very solid shift, scoring at an excellent rate and producing some of the most impressive swings of the match among her 18 kills. When Warren was in a rhythm, there wasn’t much Foster could do to stop her, even though they tried to do it at times using three blockers to get in her way. The senior made very few errors and used her incredible athleticism to put the ball down at the pin. Warren also had a strong night on the backcourt, tallying 15 passes and generating nine transition plays with her digs.

Because of Fulshear’s dominant performance in the first two sets, the dynamic outside hitter wasn’t as involved as usual at the start of the match, but she was ready to step up when her team needed her. Warren was Fulshear’s go-to scoring option in the third and fourth sets and was extremely successful with her swings. Ridge Point had no answers to her athleticism and firepower and the senior outside hitter was also intelligent enough to avoid being blocked or making many errors in difficult situations. Warren was also extremely stable with her passing and came up big with timely digs at the end of the fourth set.

The explosive Warren carries a huge offensive load for both her high school team Fulshear and her club side Houston Skyline 17 Royal – she ranks tenth among the outside hitters and 17th overall. She’s incredibly athletic and that is reflected in how she moves on the court and how she jumps to swing or block at the net. Besides making contact with the ball at a very high point, Warren also has an amazingly fast and heavy arm, which gives her every option when she goes up to swing. The outside hitter has many great strides with her passing over the years, getting more confident with that skill.

Fulshear’s main offensive player, Warren had a very productive night, keeping her efficiency high during the entire match and not finding many obstacles to put the ball down. Her impressive athleticism gave her a huge advantage over Montgomery’s blockers as they didn’t get anywhere near her contact point. Warren used her power to put the ball down in most of her attempts, but also turned to other resources when she had to, while also making very few errors. The junior outside hitter also passed very well and made good plays on defense.

Warren overcame somewhat of a slow start and found her best game halfway through the second set. Her improvement reflected positively in the entire team’s play as Fulshear were a much better team when she got into a good rhythm. She was heavily marked by Friendswood’s blocker and defenders, but still found ways to produce at a good level and several of her swings had a high level of difficulty. Warren mixed things up well offensively and was also very solid on the backcourt, passing consistently, making strong defensive plays and having a nice serving run on set two.
