<p><strong>1. Liberty (11-0)</strong></p>

<p>Liberty dropped their first set since week 1 but stayed perfect and at the top of the rankings. Should a surprising 3-2 win Thursday over a young Park Hill team be cause for concern?</p>

<p><strong>2. St. James (11-0)</strong></p>

<p>A team we had some questions about to start the year has answered those questions with an 11-0 start to the year and playing at a high level. </p>

<p><strong>3. St. Thomas Aquinas</strong> <strong>(6-1)</strong></p>

<p>The Saints earned a big 3-2 win over Skutt Catholic out of Omaha on Friday and bounced back to sweep St. Teresa's and Lafayette on Saturday. [player_tooltip player_id='152165' first='Reagan' last='Anderson'] had a good weekend defensively. </p>

<p><strong>4. Blue Valley</strong> <strong>(7-0)</strong></p>

<p>The Tigers grabbed three victories in a quad with Topeka Hayden, Piper, and Spring Hill to stay perfect on the year. A big showdown with #10 Blue Valley Northwest is on the schedule for this week. Tiana Simmons and Kate Peterson have been strong in the block department. </p>

<p><strong>5. Blue Valley North</strong> <strong>(11-3)</strong></p>

<p>A 6-3 week for North this weekend, including being dropped by Olathe South. A lot of matches in a short amount of time so know telling if fatigue has set in early. </p>

<p><strong>6. Olathe Northwest</strong> <strong>(3-2)</strong></p>

<p>A light week for the Ravens as they downed Shawnee Mission East and Olathe North in easy work. They get a test this week with Shawnee Mission Northwest and then tournament action this weekend. [player_tooltip player_id='119705' first='Lauren' last='Roediger'] has 16 blocks in five matches. </p>

<p><strong>7. Blue Valley West</strong> <strong>(6-1)</strong></p>

<p>West went 3-1 this week suffering their first loss to the hands of #5 Blue Valley North. They will go head to head with Washburn Rural on Tuesday evening. [player_tooltip player_id='227605' first='Alex' last='Myers'] is averaging over 3 kills per set. </p>

<p><strong>8. Liberty North (6-0)</strong></p>

<p>We needed to sit back and see what Liberty North would show early in the year. They caught our attention with a win over Rock Bridge. </p>

<p><strong>9. Olathe West (15-2)</strong></p>

<p>Winners of the Lansing tournament, West is off and running early this season. A lot of matches so the week off should help as they will need to be full strength for their showdown with #6 Olathe Northwest next week. <p><strong>10. Blue Valley Northwest (8-3)</strong></p>

<p><strong>11. Lee's Summit (5-1)</strong></p>

<p>Lee's Summit has their first real test of the year and was downed by #1 Liberty in straight sets. They bounced to beat St. Teresa's in 5 and Pembroke Hill. [player_tooltip player_id='123656' first='Jordan' last='Stout'] is hitting at a .340 clip. </p>

<p><strong>12. Heritage Christian (9-3)</strong></p>

<p>The small but might Heritage Christian team grabbed a tournament championship to jump back into the rankings after a week out. Two of their three losses are to #2 St. James and #9 Olathe West. They defeated number #13 Baldwin and handed them their only loss. [player_tooltip player_id='119708' first='Rachel' last='Van Gorp'] is putting down over 5 kills per set. </p>

<p><strong>13. Baldwin (12-1)</strong></p>

<p>Baldwin was perfect before running into #12 Heritage Chrisitan in tournament action. Their schedule has been favorable to rack up early wins and they will face tougher test in the coming weeks. Chaney Barth is hitting just under .400 through 13 matches. </p>

<p><strong>14. Lansing (7-2)</strong></p>
