[player_tooltip player_id='190295' first='Carly' last='Paugh'] - Willis

[player_tooltip player_id='190295' first='Carly' last='Paugh'] is absolutely dominant right now for Willis. She just recently had 19 and 25 kills against district opponents. Swinging from all positions on the court makes it very hard to adjust as a blocker. Her line shot is really nice from the outside position, but she can also come in and hit a quick set as well. I love that her versatility always keeps defenders on their toes.

Gabbie Kennedy - Fort Bend Austin

Speaking of defenders, Fort Bend Austin's Gabbie Kennedy is having a great sophomore season. She was just listed as an AVCA Phenom and for good reason. Gabbie has a great read ability on the court, makes quick defensive decisions, and keeps the ball alive back there. It is very hard to hit around her because she will often use her hands to pass balls out of her platform range.

[player_tooltip player_id='179919' first='Lily' last='Dee Davis'] - Westlake

[player_tooltip player_id='179919' first='Lily' last='Dee Davis'] is a considerable part of Westlake's success this season. Lily has the ability to hit any set and make good decisions with the ball. She does not play scared and often attacks the ball hard on tough sets.

[player_tooltip player_id='184252' first='Jordyn' last='Moore'] - Argyle

[player_tooltip player_id='184252' first='Jordyn' last='Moore'] is a dual threat for Argyle. The 6'0 setter is also lethal offensively from the right side. In her last district game, she had 13 kills and 23 assists. She has already surpassed her assist totals from last season and is not looking to slow down. She has a smooth ball release and precision with her sets.

[player_tooltip player_id='212726' first='Mya' last='Allen'] - Reagan

[player_tooltip player_id='212726' first='Mya' last='Allen'] has been playing lights out for Reagan over the last few district games. She had 22 kills against Clark and 18 kills against Brandeis. Her court awareness and vision are going a long way for her. She is able to place the ball very well on the court. She's also got a really great whip on the ball and has a great shot down the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='179918' first='Takyla' last='Brown'] - Weiss

[player_tooltip player_id='179918' first='Takyla' last='Brown'] just surpassed 1000 career assists a few weeks ago. Her distribution of the ball is so smooth and effortless. She has a quick release and gets the ball out to her hitters. She is also long and athletic and makes for a great right-side block and attacking option.

Halle Jameson - Marcus

Halle Jameson has been filling a huge 6 rotation role for Marcus this year. She has been afforded a lot of playtime on a really stacked Marcus team. She just recently had 22 kills in their first district win. A lot of potential here with Halle. She will be an outside hitter to watch as this year unfolds.

[player_tooltip player_id='212740' first='Gabrielle' last='Jones'] - Lake Belton

Gabby Jones has helped propel Lake Belton into the state rankings with her aggressive arm swing. You would never know she stands at 5'7 with her high verticle and contact point. She isn't afraid to get on the floor either in defense or pick up a ball in serve receive. She really is turning into the whole package for Lake Belton

[player_tooltip player_id='209454' first='Ruth' last='Ochelli'] - Kempner

[player_tooltip player_id='209454' first='Ruth' last='Ochelli'] is taking on a leadership role this year for Kempner, and pushing her team for a playoff spot. She may be one of the most versatile hitters in the Houston area. She is able to hit from any spot on the floor and has great vision on placement.
