Warren East: Key Players

As a middle hitter, she leads the team in kills with 197 and averages 3.65 kills a game. Also, don't forget her whopping 76 blocks with 66 of them being solos. She doesn't have these numbers because of her physicality but her court vision, smart mind, and big heart. I've had the privilege to coach Baleigh in club ball, and she's such a coachable kid that soaks up any knowledge you throw her way. [player_tooltip player_id='474691' first='Baleigh' last='Young'] is a baller! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='127204' first='Cayden' last='Vandiver']- </strong>Senior libero for Warren East, [player_tooltip player_id='127204' first='Cayden' last='Vandiver'] is a key to Warren East's success because of her gifted ability to pass. Vandiver's athleticism really helps get her feet to every ball whether in serve receive or defense. She's great about pushing for balls out of her range defensively but also takes up a lot of the court in serve receive. My favorite part about Candiver's game is how she confidently steps in to take the second ball and effectively sets the outside, but also she sometimes gives the ball to their middle hitter, [player_tooltip player_id='474691' first='Baleigh' last='Young'] out of system. Vandiver has been around the game for awhile, and her knowledge helps lead The Lady Raiders. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='128189' first='Jada' last='Knight']-</strong> Warren East's starting setter since her freshman year, junior, [player_tooltip player_id='128189' first='Jada' last='Knight'], helps the team so much in every way. Not only does she kill the game with 501 assists, but she also tallies 41 kills, 25 blocks, 165 digs, and 37 service aces. Knight's numbers are quite impressive, but this is only possible because of the way she holds herself to a higher standard. Setters are the backbone of the team, and Knight embraces this challenge by giving all she can 100% of the time. Knight will continue to be one of the best setters in the region till she graduates. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Makenna Rine-</strong> A junior outside, Makenna Rine, severely impacts the Lady Raiders offensively and defensively. In the front row, she averages about 2.35 kills a set with 127 kills on the season. Plus, she adds 215 digs in the back row and 26 service aces with her killer jump float serve. Rine's competitive attitude is what makes her so good though. She wants to win at all costs, and that's what elevates Warren East to another level. Rine also runs track and field which gives her an edge. Makenna is extremely athletic, determined, and passionate for the game. She'll be a key to Warren East the next two years. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
