<p>Northwest and Seckman advance to the semifinals with sweeps and a rematch at the beginning of the month. Northwest would pull out an 18-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 15-9 win, with Jordan Christopher and [player_tooltip player_id='168901' first='Haley' last='Yount'] racking up 17 kills apiece in the win. Northwest's more balanced attack will take the semifinals with a 3-1 win.</p>

<p>Eureka and Cor Jesu Academy will meet in the first semifinal. Eureka swept Parkway South in the quarterfinals, and Cor Jesu nipped Lindbergh 3-1 to advance. The defending state champion Chargers took Eureka to 5 at the beginning of the season, with Eureka pulling out a 10-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-11, 17-15 marathon. [player_tooltip player_id='123459' first='Mia' last='Berg'], [player_tooltip player_id='169897' first='Jenna' last='Cubbage'], [player_tooltip player_id='123473' first='Abby' last='Holt'], and [player_tooltip player_id='102554' first='Juliette' last='Myrick'] would account for 47 of the team's 54 kills. Cor Jesu replied heavily on [player_tooltip player_id='150037' first='Grace' last='Killion'], and she produced 23 kills in the loss. Eureka has been playing its best ball down the stretch, and Cor Jesu has been up and down. Eureka with a 3-1 win to move to the finals.</p>

<p>A rematch of last year's sectional, where Marquette would take a 25-23, 18-25, 24-26, 25-21, 17-15 win. Marquette lost a ton of talent from that team, and Lafayette returned the core of theirs. The match from the beginning of the month saw a 25-23, 25-14, 26-24 Lafayette sweep. [player_tooltip player_id='153929' first='Maya' last='Witherspoon'] was on fire and finished with 14 kills, and [player_tooltip player_id='123472' first='Caitlyn' last='Little'] added 7. In the losing effort, [player_tooltip player_id='119227' first='Mia' last='Scanlon'] finished with 11 kills. In this battle, Lafayette sweeps Marquette to advance to face Eureka.</p>

<p>These two heavyweights, Eureka and Lafayette, separated by less than 10 miles, will be a rematch of last year's district final, which Lafayette won in 5. Lafayette started the year 11-6 but is burning hot now with 15 straight wins. The Lancers have knocked off #1 Liberty, #2 Liberty North, and #3 Eureka in the last two weeks of the season. The Wildcats from Eureka started the year 28-1 but have gone 3-2 in the last five games. This one should be a battle till the end, with Lafayette taking a 3-2 win.</p>
