We know there are some class of 26′ liberos out there doing a bang-up job, and we want to highlight you as we go into the postseason.
Rileigh Butler Rileigh Butler 5'3" | DS/L Moe And Gene Johnson | 2026 State TX – Johnson High School – Austin Performance
First up is Rileigh Butler Rileigh Butler 5'3" | DS/L Moe And Gene Johnson | 2026 State TX of Buda, Texas. This freshman is in the MaxPreps top 5 for digs in the class of 26 with 485. She is taking on a huge role for Johnson as they try to hold on for a playoff spot. She plays for Austin Performance Volleyball Club and also plays sand as well. She has got substantial vision in middle back and will get quicker playing in this gauntlet of a 6A district.
Katelyn Vo Katelyn Vo 5'6" | DS/L Plano West | 2026 State TX – Plano West – Mad Frogs
Katelyn Vo Katelyn Vo 5'6" | DS/L Plano West | 2026 State TX is a defensive specialist playing middle back for one of the best teams in the state, Plano West. She plays club for Mad Frogs Volleyball Club. She has gotten more confident as the season has gone on, and her middle-back game is improving. She also does a really good job of passing central to the court. She moves well in transition with her weight on her toes and works to get a solid angle pass.
Kiley Brooks Kiley Brooks 5'7" | DS/L Northwest | 2026 State TX – Northwest – Texas Pistols
Kiley Brooks Kiley Brooks 5'7" | DS/L Northwest | 2026 State TX is the number 2 dig leader in the state for freshmen. She plays for Northwest High School and Texas Pistols Volleyball Club. She has got a ton of speed and movement which is really impressive if you watch her play. She has a great collapse move to the floor on defense. In serve receive, she is solid and makes few mistakes, with only 35 errors all season.
Julianna Hernandez Julianna Hernandez 5'6" | DS/L Frisco Memorial | 2026 State TX – Frisco Memorial – TAV
Julianna Hernandez Julianna Hernandez 5'6" | DS/L Frisco Memorial | 2026 State TX is on our libero list again as she is gaining on 500 career digs. The Frisco Memorial freshman has been outstanding this year, picking up anything she can touch and taking responsibility for a large portion of the court. She just recently posted 23 digs against Liberty. She has excellent footwork and court vision and her angles in defense are fantastic. She plays for TAV out of Dallas. Julianna should absolutely be on your radar if she isn’t already.
Zarah Prieto – Whitewright
We are diving into the 2A classification for this one, Sarah Prieto is in the top 50 for digs in the state of Texas in the freshman class. She plays for Whitewright High School which is a 2A school in East Texas. Zarah is doing a bang-up job as libero. She has a solid platform and is very reliable in serve receive for a freshman. She is a defensive specialist who is not afraid to use her hands in defense and does a decent job reading the tip as well. Whitewright currently sits in 1st place in their district.
Brynley Buck – Mansfield Legacy – 360 Volleyball
Brynley Buck is on our radar this year after taking on the huge role of varsity libero as a freshman. She looks to be keeping it together quite well after posting 10 digs against Desoto last week. She plays for 360 Volleyball out of North Texas. She does a good job of being in the right place and at the right time for Legacy. Her footwork may need some work but she is getting the ball up and keeping it off the floor for now. Mansfield Legacy will have a bright 4 years with Brynley.
Cali Reece Cali Reece 5'5" | DS/L Grand Oaks | 2026 State TX – Grand Oaks – TAV Houston
Rounding out our list is Cali Reece Cali Reece 5'5" | DS/L Grand Oaks | 2026 State TX out of Spring, Texas. Cali plays for Grand Oaks and TAV Houston. Cali is a very versatile defensive specialist who is one of the best in the state in serve receive. She has a very low error count with only 12 errors all season. She can play 60% of the court in serve receive with no problem and can pass easily on either angle. She also has a great out-of-system set that she can execute on either pin.
