Magnificat, one of Ohio's best programs, is currently ranked #2 in the most recent Division I state poll. At 16-2 overall, the Blue Streaks are looking to defend their 2021 state championship during which they lost just one set through the regional and state rounds last season. Here are some of their key athletes.

[player_tooltip player_id='114595' first='Julia' last='Sprecher'] - 2024 | OH
Sprecher is the Blue Streaks best offensive threat at 3.7 kills per set. She also adds eight digs per match. The junior pin hitter has a fast and physical arm in the air as she can generate great pace. Following limited opportunity in 2021, she is showcasing her offensive skills well with good consistency in her output while also providing big impact in the ball control and defensive phases with her ability to read the floor well. The LSU (beach) commit earned a career high 21 kills in a 3-0 over Walsh Jesuit earlier this season.

Mary Flanagan - 2024 | RS
Flanagan is a productive right side attacker, which helps create good court balance for Magnificat's offense. At 6'0 and left handed, she finds a lot of success given her 3.2 kills per set and .397 efficiency. She is also among team leaders defensively at the net at 1.8 blocks per match.

[player_tooltip player_id='114508' first='Sophia' last='Anghilante'] - 2023 | MB
The 6'1 senior middle is an effective threat in the middle on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she contributes 2.3 kills per set while hitting at a team high .419 efficiency. With good spacing and timing, Anghilante can move the ball around with her arm control while developing some good power. On the defensive side, the first-team all-district selection in 2021 leads the Blue Streaks at the net with 2.5 blocks per match.

[player_tooltip player_id='141694' first='Lauren' last='Yacobucci'] - 2023 | S
We have profiled Yacobucci on multiple occasions and rightfully so given the value she provides to this program as the floor leader. The Wright State commit is one of the best floor distributors in her mechanics and success at 11.4 assists per set.

[player_tooltip player_id='151990' first='Kailey' last='Snow'] - 2026 | L
Snow is this team's leader defensively in the back row as she has picked up the most digs on the season at 148 for an 8.8 digs per match average. She has good length for this position and plays with simplicity in her preparation, which allows her to react quickly and with good angles in her platform work. Snow set a career high of 21 digs in a 3-1 over #3 ranked St. Ursula a few weeks ago. Look for her stock to grow among the top liberos in the class as her career progresses.
