Adena’s setter, Townsend distributes a great offense for the Warriors as they average over 12 kills per set as a team. She has earned 667 assists for a 9.5 assists per set average while also picking up eight digs per match. Adena won the Scioto Valley Conference and they are 20-2 overall and currently ranked 5th in DIII.

The Jeeps have a few key non-senior athletes contributing to their 20-2 overall record. Claxon is just a freshman and playing an important role as the libero. She leads the team with 16.5 digs per match as she has totaled 362 digs in her first varsity season. She is among the team’s best servers as she is second in total aces with 41. South Webster, a #3 seed, plays their first postseason opponent, Portsmouth, on Thursday.
Lexi Tucci – 2024 | Sandy Valley
Tucci, a junior, is Sandy Valley’s biggest offensive threat as she has terminated over 250 kills on the season and is averaging 3.5 per set. She is aggressive at the top of her jump and moves the ball around while showing skills to challenge high hands well at the net. The Cardinals are 19-3 overall and earned a first round win 3-0. They next take on Claymont.
Gracie Perkins – 2025 | Wheelersburg
The Pirates are 21-1 and ranked #12 in DIII. They are a senior laden team offensively. However, Perkins is a good option with her arm as she is third on the team at 2.3 kills per set while leading in efficiency at .380. On the defensive side, she also makes a big impact as she leads the team in total blocks. Wheelersburg is a #1 seed and play their first postseason match Thursday versus Dawson-Bryant.
Jozy Lougheed – 2025 | Southeastern
The sophomore pin hitter leads the Panthers’ offense with 3.7 kills per set along with nearly 300 digs for the season. She has earned her career high of 22 kills twice this season, more recently in a big 3-1 win over a solid Adena team. Lougheed has also collected 3.8 digs per set with a career high 28 in their final regular season match versus Westfall. The #6 seed, Southeastern will face Lucasville Valley in the second round on Thursday.
