There have been some amazing tournaments and great district battles. We have been talking to coaches, reading tons of stats, and getting lots of video submissions from parents and players regarding how everyone has fared over the course of the season. As we are now into the playoffs, we will be discussing some players who are being nominated for our Prep Dig Texas All-State Awards. Our end-of-season awards are going to be different because we are going to consider all divisions/conferences/classes together and pick the best of the best. The Outsides we will be discussing have been tearing it up and proving themselves all season long with some amazing statistics. Let’s meet some of the nominees:
Ally Tribe [2024] 6-1 Outside (HS: Columbus/Club: Texstar/ Verbal: UTSA)
Ally is an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, but is on the watch list and will be added once we update next month. She plays for Columbus High School and also for Texstar Volleyball club. Ally has already tallied 714 kills on a very impressive and efficient .417 hitting percentage. Ally also amassed 75 total blocks and 334 digs from the back row. She will likely be one of the most prolific players to ever come out of Columbus high school and she deserves every accolade she gets. We think she will be an immediate impact player for UTSA in a few years for sure. We are proud to have her listed as a nominee. Please help us congratulate her on earning a nomination for one of our All-State Award.
MJ McCurdy MJ McCurdy 6'0" | OH Frisco Liberty | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-11 Outside (HS: Liberty/Club: Madfrog / Verbal: Uncommitted)
Mary Jane is an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, but is on the watch list. She plays for Liberty High School and also for the famed Madfrog Volleyball club. She is still one of the leading scorers amongst juniors with 608 kills on a very impressive .240 hitting percentage. Her offensive barrage has not stopped all season long. She is a stellar attacker who does a lot more for her team than just score. She also tallied 28 aces, 34 total blocks, 487 service receptions, and 498 digs in her junior season. This kind of production shows just how solid of a volleyball player Miss McCurdy truly is. We think she can be a fantastic player who can excel at the next level. If you have a need for a true six rotation player, look no further. We are proud to have her listed as a nominee. Please help us congratulate her on earning a nomination for one of our All-State Awards.
Ayden Ames Ayden Ames 6'4" | MB Prosper | 2024 State #3 Nation TX [2024] 6-3 Middle/Outside (HS: Prosper/Club: Texas Advantage /Verbal: Nebraska)
Ayden is currently ranked as the 4th best overall prospect and also the best middle in the 2024 class in the entire state of Texas. She is also listed as the 7th best overall prospect in the nation according to our national rankings. She plays at Prosper High School and also the famed Texas Advantage Volleyball club program. We just profiled her a few weeks ago when we talked about some of the most prolific scorers in the state. Miss Ames is the total package for Prosper and she is one of the main reasons why her team is still in the hunt for the state title in 6A. 542 kills on a superb .326 hitting percentage. Most players specialize in one position, but Ayden’s coaches have really helped her gain so much versatility by having her play multiple positions throughout the years. This has helped her tally 20 aces, 94 total blocks, 245 digs and 459 service receptions. Since coming over from Cali she has become one of Texas’ best volleyball players. We are proud to have her as a nominee. Please congratulate her on earning a nomination for an All-State Award.
